Default Does the positioning of this look ridiculous?

As you guys know there are not many parallel lines on our cars. This space is magaphoned shaped with a distinctive line on the top and a fade away line on the bottom. I went with the top line but now think I should have centered it in the middle of the megaphone. Opinions please

If I understand your question correctly, I would place the AMG parallel to the ground as you have it. But move it to the right a few inches.

Now the shape of that garage is another story.

I knew I should have put a caveat about the garage. Moving it few inches involves more than I care to do (*the heat may wrinkle the chrome) Do you think it's that necessary? Thanks for the input

It looks weird....sorry. I see the line you followed, but it doesn't seem to follow the bottom of the tail light. It is only straight on the one line....everything else is off.

And yeah....clean out the garage first.

No. I wouldn't worry about it. It looks good as is IMHO. I have one of those AMG badges but changed my mind before installing it and replaced the OEM SRT-6 badge with the 2006 SRT-6 badge.

But as set, it's parallel to the crease in the bumper between the emblem and the taillight. I think it would look awkward if it didn't.

Thanks Fireamx, It looks like you followed the same line but I'm not sure because the emblem is small and there's a little shine or blur on the photo. Love your car. With that license plate and hood scoop you must really have some fun with people.

MAX, You have no idea.
Actually the emblem is a work in progress, not permanent yet.
I think yours looks great.
Check out James's gallery, he has an emblem under the tail light as well.

I agree with some others Max. The line should be parallel to the ground, and the space between the A and the M should be centered under the turn signal light at least. Take some fishing line and wiggle it under the emblem. It should just pop off, or just use a hair dryer it doesn't generate enough heat. I had affixed my Karmann emblems incorrectly leaned, and it looked weird, so I popped them off and repositioned them, and they stuck again as if they were new.

Thaat's odd I saved my last post but it's not showing the edits. I said that the space between the A and the M should be centered under the turn signal, and theen after I had posted my correction I saw that woody had exactly what I was talking about. Talk about odd. Now I look above and there's my edit. I give up!

I think it looks fine just the way it is. Many other ways as suggested would work just as well. Leave it alone!

Thanks to all of you for your opinions. I think it should be centered under the tail light and lower down. I'm still not sure if centered between the conical lines would look good or not. It might look good at a distance being parallel to the ground but up close it would look funny not following the line of the car.

ALL that being said, I've gotten used to it. "PERFECTION IS THE ENEMY OF GOOD" I can live with it.
