Maybe some of the parts are SRT 6, but the speedo goes to 160mph?

He did say he had an extra speedo. That's probably the one that goes in the car. Good catch see what else you can find missing? Would have to be a brave soul or money to burn to take this on and not expect any problems. Even just the normal problems with the six on a stock car would scare you into thinking it's something major with this one.

every SRT that I've seen has the exhaust tips painted black inside. I guess these could have been cleaned of the paint. Hmmmm !!!

Katrina? That means salt water! The car may seem fine now but it will start falling apart further down the road. This is a definite problem child and anyone that buys it mine as well just throw their money out the window. This purchase is suicide. I wouldn't take it if it were free! Not even for parts.

Looks like it has lots of body damage... what the heck are those craters!

I'd take it for free... Heck I'd even drive to AZ and trailer it home.

I would definitely use the trailer because it may break down on the way home! I know many cars that had only a little salt water damage. The car was never the same again. No matter what you do or what you replace, you will be replacing electronic equipment forever. It is one headache after another and a lot of money just keeping up with it. I wouldn't put one part of this vehicle on my car (which is why I wouldn't take it even if it were for free).

I bet he bought the wrong instruments when redoing the dash panel...and this would be a great race car...but not much for show right now...and yes salt water would cause a lot of electronic problems where you can't see, so you would have to keep an eye on the modules, fuse boxes, etc...but, if you want a track car...this would be the car....

Not allof Katrinawassalt wate flooding. Jus sauyin'

I agree with doc. Buy it to race but not as a daily.

If you are pushing the edge of the envelope, your likely gonna bend it before salt damage is an issue.

Talking Re: SRT6 Restore Salvage for sale

And I spent 20 man hours cleaning/power buffing my Green 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 4.7 v8 4 door truck with color matching cap, that we painted inside, so its squeeky clean white, bed is dealer sprayed on and inside is clean, body is fine shape/shiney and the auto is is good shape and its 154,942 miles with a new/unused hood and a shaker hood attached.

If he was closer, Id be interested in giving mine for his straight up. I just got a newer and larger 2009 4.7 ram 1500. If he wants to pick it up and swap Id meet him half way to AZ, and photos available. Hummmmm do I need another black one???????????

Tempting... I wouldn't feel guilty gutting that one and putting in a cage... May call him tomorrow... road trip anyone. I'll have a spare parts from the other car . only thing that really puts me off is it looks awfully dinged up and scratched so there would be a fair bit of body prep to make this thing presentable.

I'll take it to the track and see what it runs. Would be worth calling him and asking for receipts of all the parts he replaced. Most of the electrical was replaced as well as the wiring harness according to him. If you need me to pick up some paperwork from him just let me know. I'm going by sometime soon to give him a ride in mine. Caged out gutted beast would be perfect for this car.
