unloading SRTs
I've noticed so many thr eads lately with people selling there SRT's...It kind of makes me sad but I understand things change and peoples needs change. I just hope they go to a good home. I wish I had the money and I would scoop one up to put up. I love driving my SRT but I'm putting way to many miles on it. I'm at 46k now....I've put 10k on it since May
This always happens when cars go out of warranty. Not saying that's what happened here, but it's common. And don't discount the mod fever this car infects you with, it's brilliant but a bit hard and expensive to make faster. I think you'll find that us older guys that let a gem get away in our youth will be the ones to hold on till the end of time. Don't worry about the miles. If you let the car sit in the garage it will fall apart just as fast, only without the years of enjoyment. So don't fret about the miles, the sellers, etc. Enjoy your Crossfire while you can.

get that thing out of the garage and put some miles on it...I did that w/ a '92 Heritage pkg Z-28 Camaro back in '91....kept it until '98....didn't drive it, sold it with 4K on it...the exhaust was rusted, had electrical problems....etc...they can't sit that much...you need to get them out and drive them....

Take that lady out for a dance, often. Neglect is the worst thing you can do to a fine lady.
Especially a sassy one.

I am lucky, I have the ability to drive one every day, and still have the convertible for weekend trips, had it over 3 years now and just over 7000 mls (30000 on the coupe)
My only issue is that with body panels getting so hard to source I'd hate to have one totalled, for the cost of a fender/hood etc, that's why I'm trying to keep at least one, in pristine condition, whilst enjoying the other one to the max.
They're getting so cheap now, I think everyone should have two ................

My SRT is here to stay... I just got word from my boss that I'll be spending the winter in Baltimore. I will also need a truck for pulling trailers and getting through the snow. Did I sell my SRT? Absolutely not!! I bought an old 4X4 truck and my car and motorcycle will be placed safely in storage until I return. I will miss it dearly.
P.S.- Satellite, I too like the new Mustangs, but they're everywhere. Last weekend at the mall I saw 3 red GT's, 1 blue, and 1 black... all in the same lot. The relative rarity of the XF has to mean something.

Mine is definitely a daily driver. I changed jobs, so I'll be using the XFIre for work, rather than a company car. I'm sure I'll be adding at least 20k miles per year to it. I don't mind. Cars are for driving. I get no pleasure out of having one sit in my garage. I'd rather have a good time and drive it till it dies a glorious death from miles and abuse.
