Default 11,5k for this SRT-cabriolet

Hi guys,

Just spoke to the salesperson. It is the highmileage SRT softtop in FL. They bought it at an auction. Only gives me 30days warranty on the car. But as I am going to export it I could care less.

http://onestop.homenetinc.com/OceanA...48852#tippytop

Better to go for the black coupe one and give a bid around 13k?

/ thanks for your opinions.

Have you checked how much it is to export to Sweden? Another member from Sweden inquired about my luggage for sale and it was $245 for 30lbs of luggage. I would assume this car will run a few grand to ship?

On the car, as long as you know how to maintenance it and have a mercedes location to buy parts then you shouldn't care about mileage. There are C32 owners with the same drivetrain with high mileage and running strong.

Transport to sweden will cost me about $4000.
Hmm so you think it is not too much?

Is this the same car you posted about in another thread about high mileage cars? You must be rolling in dough otherwise you're never going to get the project off the ground.

1. Purchase Vehicle in Florida
2. Make SRT-6 look and function like a NA
3. Paint SRT-6 White
4. Ship SRt-6 back to Sweden

I'd say all in all you're looking to spend close to 25-30k on a vehicle that's barely worth 12-15k

If you're not set on a convertible, I would go with the coupe. I think the lines are nicer on the coupe and you dont have to worry about the top or rear window. Make a lower offer on the black one or see what else is out there... if you want a coupe.

That's just me though....(so I dont need to be flamed by all you roadster owners)

He's right but more importantly if that's what your going to do, then have it all done here by a reputable shop then shipped done to you.

Well that is the softtop I posted earlier.

Buy car in the US = 1/3 of the price compared to Sweden
Cosat of car = 13k
Transport car cost 3-4k
Repaint car = 4k

exchange the rearwing on this forum I will probably get some cash back. If I cannot exchange the front I will stick with it. The rims I will also switch with a forum member. Probably just before shipping it.
So will probably gain $500 from the forum trade.

Total cost = 20k = less what I can sell my N/A today for in Sweden. I will even make a profit. And selling my N/A (only white in Sweden) will be no problem.

The calculations are approx.

Project off the ground and finished. the value of having a one of a kind custom car cannot be valued in money.

Maybe I'm missing something?!?! FUBU has an Alabaster SRT-6, and wants to buy an SRT-6 to paint it Alabaster and make it look like Limited. What in that seems custom? Sounds like sacrilege to me. Someone save that car, before it loses it's collectability.

Hello newbie! Welcome to the forum.
Say what you like about my project but I am proud of finishing it.started off by Selling my N/a, importing the srt6, custom paintjob, custom electronics. You may find it to be an appalling car. A White SRT during winter and a White n/a with SRT front during summer. Just the customised the way I like, all done and paid by myself. As I said at the top, welcome to the forum chuK.

I like the idea of a white SRT. They should have come in white. As far as making it look like a n/a? I have no problem with that. That is what we call a sleeper and will suprise a lot of unsuspecting people who try to challenge it. My car looks like a regualar n/a and I can tell you I suprised everything that tries to race me.

Some slight confusion on my part, sorry. Do what you will with an N/A. And this newbie has been around XFs a little longer than you.

Agree completely. I actually went for a NA because I prefer the wheels, the spoiler and the slightly gentler ride of an NA over the SRT6. With that said, if I found an SRT6 with NA spoiler and wheels (or LantanaTX wheels - which I've always liked), I would have bought it. I like the SRT6 subtle ground effects and everything else would have been great as well. The extra power, of course, would be well received.

Anyway, making your ride what you want it to be, including doing it yourself, is a good thing.

PS - I also couldn't pass up a 1 owner, garage kept very low mileage (5,600) NA at a really good price.

Albino, as I call him, looking like a N/A or SRT where I live noone still don't know what car it. A Porsche, Bentley or Audi TTRS when people start guessing. Well for the ones liking the SRT6 standard look, it will have this during winter season, alloys wing the lots. As I started off with the N/A I like to preserve the original look but have the extra power. For me it is also the story / months I have been searching, getting help from forum members, buying, importing, disassembling, assembling, washing, driving that have been keeping me alive. This car is soo much fun to drive, look at and own. This forum is an added BONUS!

No problems Chuckie. I do not have a N/A.
Okay it says you joined the forum 2011 in june hence the "newbie" comment. Nice, then you have been fortunate to have been around the coolest car on earth. N/A, SRT6, V8, HEMI, Turboed, Hybrid electric or any version there is. I hope you enjoy the car as much as I do

I think you're confusing everyone by bringing back your old threads. Besides until you put up photo's its still a bunch of talk.

BTW I soo would like to see when someone tries to run you. How do we normal SRT6 stand against the V8s? 0-60 that is.. or even the 1/4 mile..?
