Srt-6 Drag Racing
Geno ran 13.6@108mph bone stock while spining pretty bad off the line (even after the 60' mark) He cut a 2.3 60' and ran a 13.6. If he had a tire on, Definitely a 12 second run. Man these SRTs are nasty animals.
Yep, just a couple mods, and some sticky tires, and he would be turning between 1.6 and 1.7 in 60'. If you think 13.6 is fast, a 12.2 will definitely get ya grinnin'!
not making excuses... don't believe in 'em... but the fact is...
rotten launch... I'll work on it
still got to 108mph though...which was nice considering the bad start.

60' - 1.855
!/4 - 12.726
ET - 107.68
So, as you can see, with my much better 60' and 1/4, you still beat my ET. Get that launch down, and you will see some great numbers. Now, to be fair, The above numbers were with 2489 DA and temps of 81.
Good job.

the better 60' you cut, the lower your MPH will be. That is the general rule of thumb. I dont think 13.6 is fast honestly, but Geno spinning the tires way fast 60' mark with traction control on and still running that time with that mph, it is very impressive.
I used to run mid to low 11s in my cobra and I thought hat wasnt quick enough and today, I was fighting for mid to low 13s in the new GT but no traction on street tires
It was nice to hang out with you guys again Geno

It was OUR pleasure ... thanks for the invite and the hospitality!
you forgot to point out that even before any of us 'street' cars could run that Byron Dragway was hosting a "TRUCK" competition... there were literally at least 300 trucks (big ones too!) that spun tires all morning before we were even allowed on the tarmac.
LOTS of residue

Did you say that you had traction control ON ?!?
Turn it off. Be careful with the throttle on the launch and you'll shave a couple tenths off that time.
The best I could do while I was bone stock was 13.3, and I'd never done any drag racing before. So I'm sure with a little practice you could get a 13.0 with a good launch and good DA.

i ran 13.51@104.3mph with 2.1 60' no traction. I just could not get the car hook. Alsn clutch slips each time i slammed the gears. The car is stock 07 mustang gt with 3.31 gears. With better traction, 13.2s arent far.
I would definitely agree with Tom, turn off traction control and feather the throttle on the launch. You can get your '60 down on street tires.
My personal best '60 on street tires was 1.89, so it's definitely possible.

I did a 1.7 60' on street tires on a well prepped track.... ZAHANMA is correct... feather the throttle as you start off and then mash the crap out of it....
