Default Common Problems

Im new here, test drove an SRT6 this weekend, trying to get financing now. Ive been researching for a few months but just came across this website. cant find much on problems with the car besides the IC going. anything else I should be weary about?

btw $14900 for 55k miles. It is mint condition, but after coming here seems like that might be kind of high?

You got an exceptional deal on your SRT! Hopefully this doesn't prevent the OP from losing out. Anything under 15K in mint condition sounds pretty good to me. Offer $14k., what the heck.

Yeah make an offer of 14k. You don't want any other car then this. I couldn't be happier.

Offered 13.5k, hes not budging from 14.9, new tires all around. its a great car, i was looking at a few different cars, s2000, g35, gto, 350z...after driving this car my mind is made up. its got some serious ***** under the hood, great looking, as you all know.

how many drive all year? im in MA right now with winter coming, have a FWD car all paid for, but moving to VA in may so could see this being an all year round car. btw dont get the wrong idea, im not rich or spoiled, paying my way through college and want to treat myself with this car

If it is truly in MINT condition then I would definitately buy it for that price. Good treadwear left on tires? Check for any oil seepage around the valve covers, run the heck out of it (get it hot), make sure it still runs good hot and that the check engine light doesn't come on. Everything works, all switches, blower, mirrors, etc. If it has valve cover oil seepage, or will need tires soon, then use that to lower the price. I'm assuming this is a Coupe and not a Roadster. If it's a Roadster, go pay the man right now, even if it needs tires soon. Good Luck.

Just behind the gear shift is a little black piece. That moves your mirrors.

I drive mine year round and I don't have any problems.

haha sound like my dad, that would be the "smart" decision. Im going to see what I can get for financing, worst comes to worst I dont get it, have a feeling it wont sell up here during the winter, should have a decent amount to pay cash after that.

You're fine at $14.9 Don't let these guys mess with you.

A year ago, you could buy one for $13K even $12K "cause a lot of folks were upside down on their car, their house, or their habits, and needed to unload something.
KBB values were dropping crazy .

With credit tight, not many deals unless you got well under the bluebook or had cash. A serious and fertile buyers's market.

Things are a little better today and the KBB on the car is stable.

There will always be somebody braggin' about a better deal.

If the car checks out and boils you blood a little, grab on to sumpin and go for it.

Roadster with a stick.

BTW I'm Older than 32 Krazy(by a lot) so take this old guy's advice. Life is for those willin' to live it.

I paid $16K for my mint 32K mile SSB SRT in May. New tires, good service record and not a scratch on it. I didn't get a smokin hot deal but I am so stoked with the car that I 'bought for my wife' that the purchase price doesn't matter to me any more

I paid 18.9 for my black roadster with 29k back in June. I do not regret it for 1 second. The only other car I drove that got me feeling anywhere as good was an 02 BMW M3. But it had triple the miles and wasn't a convertible so I went with the X-fire. GL on your purchase and enjoy.

Just curious. Where in Ma. are you? I'm on Buzzards Bay.
Bought a SRT Roadster this past winter, but picked it up in April. Paid $15,600 from a Chrysler dealer in Minnesota who sold it new, then took it back in trade. I absolutley love it and I have owned a bunch of cars over the years. For what you get, the SRTs are alot of bang for the buck! Overlooked by many.
If the car checks out (do a Carfax), the price sounds with in reason. It's not like you can go down the street to another dealer for a better deal. These cars are scattered through out the country. Chasing a better deal will cost you too. My $.02.......

Fitchburg, but the car is in Worcester. I was thinking about giving the guy 3k non-refundable to hold it for the winter, give him what I can in the spring and finance the rest. im 100% i wanna buy the car just a matter of money now

I bought my convertible SRT-6 back in jan of 08 for 16.5K. I got a great deal I know, only had 32k on the clock. I drove the **** out of it the past two years now it has 72K on it. Up til last week it ran like brand new. Just had a water pump failure. But Im still not discouraged. I would have paid 20K for it so I still feel like Im ahead even after I pay the $900.00 to get the pump replaced.

Buy it and enjoy it! You will not find another car with that much power and engineering for less than 20K I dont know of another car for less than 20K that can do the 1/4 in 12 sec, and 0-60 in 4 sec. Invest a little more and you got an 11 sec car, that will smoke most everything else out there
