My dream!
I know alot of you are going to laugh and call me stupid after looking at this post. So if your not trying to help I dont need your input.
So what I want to do is have a crossfire with a suppercharged v8 swap, manual transmittion and an all-wheel drive train. I need to know what els would I need to do to have this all working in one car. I know it will be an ungodly cost. I am just doing research now. I am selling my n/a at the moment due to me going to korea. and my friend will soon join the many crossfire enthusest.

I think it would be alot easier and cheaper to put the crossfire body onto a 4x4 dakota frame or some other small truck with a V8 and drivetrain and go from there...

That is true, its just going to be my toy after i get back. I tried to contact amg today. apparently you have to be a rich snob got get anywhere with benz. I was trying to see how much a the v10 or 12 would be, what the highest version of the supper charged v8 is.
Even with the truck frame to support the solid rear end I am going to need I still have to find an aw4 transition and drive train to bolt up to the engine. I may as well start form the ground up. then I'll have the roll cage and every thing is hopefully be easier to get done.

It'd be more realistic to pick 2 of the 4 choices, but would require a decent amount of chassis work and pretty much all of the stock electronics going in the garbage (except the SC V8 combo, which Rudy has mastered).
Theres no sense in sticking with a benz motor if you're going nuts. A GM LSx is probably your best bet, you can pick up a vortec truck engine for a couple hundred dollars (or an LSx block for a few thousand), have the motor built, run megasquirt (or something more expensive and user friendly), use GM trans, and either a Ford 9" or a viper (Dana) independant rear. It would probably be about $30k, but it would smoke any crossfire.... ever.

Wouldn't this be the first place to start?

I mean I know it's an automatic, but I would think everything else in the drivetrain would probably fit. I'm sure Paul and Rudy could figure out all the incidentials.

I think you're better off just buying a different car that has those attributes. There's no way you'll be able to make it AWD. The SC V8 in the E/S/C/SL/CL55 was never intended to drive the front wheels so good luck finding a tranny to mate with that engine. Maybe if you built a bespoke engine from scratch but if you have to ask how much that would cost....
Why are you looking for a superchaged V8? Just for power?
You could get a used/wrecked '05 STi, and upgrade the motor. You can get 600HP out of those pretty easily, and it's really close in size to a Crossfire. Just put the Crossfire body on the STi frame.
You could also wait a year or two, and just buy a used GTR which will probably be selling in the 40's. Granted it's not a V8/manual, but it's still a GTR.

Progress, you can forget the 4 wheel drive, and more than likely the stick as well....but, the v8, v12 swap is possible...the rest is just dreaming...read all the threads on here that have to do with these swaps, and other mods...the stick is possible, but with the demands put on it, it will not be reliable...unless you intend to putter around...no holes shots....but, nothing wrong with dreaming...
don't worry it can be done,, $$$$$$ =v8 in your crossfire,,$$$$$$$$= standered shift transmission, and $$$$$$$$$$= all wheel drive, oh you also need to remove the v8 and cutoff the frontof the car from the windsheild foward and have a tube frame made to handle the awd with the V8,, now call Rudy and see when he can do this for you. jim
I would just go buy an AMG MB car....which I almost did...just a bit too high....but came close to an awd Kompressor....but, I wouldn't waste my time butchering a crossfire...now the v8/v12 swap is doable and looks stock...that I like...

FYI Beaner,
The trans in the SRT's in the same as the Big boy MB cars use. It can handle 600hp+
My 2 cents:
I am a true lover of this car and its concept, I respect what you want to do, but I feel it would be an injustice to the workmanship and engineering of the crossfire. It is possible to turbo charge this car and get over 400hp. The size and weight of this car would greatly limit using any hp above that point. But again I repect your dream, afterall it is your dream.
Best of luck

But anyways... An AWD crossfire would be awsome! Make it happen progress
Beaner - Yeah your right you never said that. lol Sorry, not sure what I saw to prompt that. No worries. Yeah it would be cool.
Not sure about the 4x4 truck route. Maybe see if its possible to retrofit an audi drive train, they are AWD.
