Default Best Warranty?

Hi I am considering purchasing a warranty on my SRT-6 but have a few questions. I have seen several threads on here but I am still a little confused on a few issues. First off, how long would a warranty cover me? Does it go from when the car was first sold? Or is it from when I buy the warranty?

Also, I've seen reccomendations of who to go to a few years ago, but I'm not sure if they are still the best people to go to for the best price.

FWIW, I will only be putting about 5k miles/year on the car and won't be doing any mechanical mods or racing.

Most went after the chrysler max warranty. Unfortunately you had to purchase while there was still warranty left on your vehicle. I assume your out of warranty now. So that you leave your option to aftermarket warranty companies that lack reputation. If you belong to a credit union try them first. At least the companies they deal with the indy shops and dealers honor. The next problem is the prices start to go up as the years go by, and the coverage adds mileage over years. So if you do find one go with the longest amount of years with lower mileage coverage to benefit your driving lifestyle. What's your current mileage?

Are Chrysler dealers still able to get parts for the car?

Yes the backorders for a while were front bumpers. If your buying a part out of warranty then the mercedes dealer is cheaper. I buy my belt from the mercedes dealer for less. Chrysler wants to gouge for everything.

I talked to someone yesterday who gave me a price of $1185 for the MaxCare which would cover me to 50k miles, or June 2014. This a good deal? Or does anybody have someone else to reccomend to compare prices.

Great price can you post up their info for others seeking a warranty. I assume your car is currently out of warranty? Over on MBworld.org 2 E55 owners had their Chrysler Max warranty canceled even before they could use it.
