Default Jack@ss

Today I had a pushy, in too big a hurry, thinks he has a fast machine guy behind me. Looser .... but just for the fun of it, I had a juvenile moment. I embarrassed the guy like he never imagined could happen. I was just going to the grocery, why did he mess with me? Anyway, I thought I had really made a mistake because he pulled out to show me what a fast car he had ... I let him go first and then I spent untold seconds in traction control suspended animation. Before getting to the grocery he was a speck in the rear view mirror. He asked my mods .... I told him "a leaky intercooler" No respect earned, none given.

Just for the record, the grocery store was across the border in Santa Domingo.

Always fun!! It's great here in England when someone in a Vauxhall Corsa or Renault Clio thinks they stand a chance!! What was he driving??

"These are really cool cars."

My wife reflected on that today while we were driving over to the grocery - said something to the effect of "this car really stands out compared to other cars" and then I floored it and said "yes it certainly does..........."

Even though I just found out that I have the "dreaded intercooler leak" this was the first time in sub 80ş temperatures, with new boost impervious Needswings gaskets installed, full throttle blast off activation. I had traction control on (just headed to the store like Mr. Rogers) not looking for trouble. It just rubbed me the wrong way to see this guy mouthing off in his car while close enough to be in my back seat, if I had one, and I was 5 over the posted limit. Real J/A. It could have been a silver "fast" something or other but watching the ****-eating grin change to WTF grimace was all I needed to see. I'll do my best to keep it on the track for the next 20 years ...... yes it's been about that long since I slipped like I did today. I guess my glass was empty.

These are what I have the priviledge of embarrasing on a regular basis. Some of these beasts make nearly 100 front wheel horsepower and some can even reach the speed limit!!

Those remind me of those old Renault "Le Cars".

I used to want a R5 turbo. All we saw here in the states were those Le Car's.

I do not go around racing anyone, but sometimes people just pi$$ you off. A few months ago I was being tailgated by some jerk in a Mazda. He was still right on my tail as I turned left, immediately he pulls out to overtake me. I accelerated and left him in the other lane, it took him a while to pull back to the correct side of the road.
I eased back to just under 10 kph over the speed limit but he still maintained a good 100 yards behind me. I would have let him pass but I guess he figured I would play with him again. Dumb schmuck.
I hate tailgaters, especially in the Crossfire.
