I agree, its hard to understand. From what I gather, you sent in an ECU to be flashed and when you went to install it in the car it does not work?

I think I've got it. The flash didn't work but it altered the ECU enough to screw up the I.D. recognition.
Therefore, it's not re-doable with a new flash.

Did you ever of have to remove your ecu? If so, make sure all the pins are lined up, I heard sometimes pins bend and can make thing go wacky

galletto is producted in italuy, they told me the version of the map is nt right for my sw version of the ecu,the only solution is to unlock it by kess system,so i have not the ecu backup map and i ll need to install a generic base map and tune with dyno and proper instruments

Since your car is no longer driveable, you should just remove the ECU, and send it to Eurocharged, so that they can fix it properly.

You will be saving yourself any further issues.

Personally, I don't think their tune was the right choice for someone who lives in Italy, which most likely has different settings for a car that uses much different quality gasoline. That's probably what caused the software mess up.

They might have a way to fix it, though, and might have your original map saved.

BC.

The customer is in Italy. I flashed his car remotely with the same flash cable some of you have used.

The car started and drives, but I wanted to flash it again with the TRQ limiters removed.

Now, when I go to connect to the car, it doesnt display any vehicle information.

I suspect it is an issue with the PC. He will be trying a Windows XP box next.

Thanks everyone.

jerry has over 600 tunes for the 3.2 engine alone. he tunes cars from all over the world. he may be experiencing the same problems i had when jerry tuned my 32. great tuner, fantastic tune, awesome cable , and unfortunatly a computer illiterate with a POS laptop!!!! took 2 days for the computer to stay online long enough to download the files. no fault of e/c at all but jerry never gave up. 10:00 pm he was on the fone working with me

We actually do a serious amount of business in the middle east and dubai on a weekly basis.

99.9% sure its a cpu problem. If it was an ecu problem car would be a paperweight...

Funny thing about ms windows and drivers, sometimes they don't play well.
