do i need one of these needswings indcution system for me to hear the gorgeous sounds of the supercharger whining?

 

Pretty much. Though these screw type blowers aren't that loud by nature, roots or centrifugal are much noisier.

 

Not necessarily. Pretty much any intake that's been opened up will let you hear the whine. It's just the stock system does a good job of hiding the sound.

If you just want to hear the whine and aren't too concerned with power increases, something like the code3 intake (out of production?) works fine. It's essentially a modification to the stock system and screws into the Y near the throttle body. If you can't find one, it's very easy to make something similar. The sound is very pronounced with this type of modification to the stock system.

 

I really like the sound with the Needswings CAIs. I have a single on the roadster and a dual on the coupe. if you think it sounds good from the drivers seat have someone do a drive by with wot in first and you will be impressed. Once on a mountain road in the coupe I hit wot comming out of a turn and passed a man on a bicycle on the off side apron. By the look on his face he must have thought the devil himself was on his coat tails. Still laugh when I think about that look.

 

At the local track I have at least 6 people come up to me every time I make a run asking "how much boost does that monster make?!?!?!?!?, It winds out like a (word redacted)"

Lol.... If you get a pulley and an intake, and even better, NW manifolds...It just SCREAMS, and let's be honest, the ladies love it

im so confused!! thats my n/w dual cai but that doesnt look at all like my car!!

 

Pulley + aftermarket intake = loud whine. On a stock exhaust the SC whine will be louder than the exhaust. Before i added the splitter and muffler delete i had several people say they could here the sc whine from a mile off.

 

LOL and that was just with the single NW CAI, never shot any video of the car with the dual cai on.
