I found this by going to our great forum search option and typed in (breather cover leak). It's a great feature. Give it a try.

I had a similar leak It turned out to be the adapter plug.
It was a slow leak than one day there was 1/2 a qt on the driveway.
Chrystler dealer went as far to tell me I nead a new transmision.
fixed the leak car runs like a champ.

This is a common tranny leak, not to be confused with the common valve breather cover leak. Welcome to the Xfire,

Your leak of course was trans. fluid, different from the breather cover leak. But I had that one also. With the help of Woody's D.I.Y. repair post, I was able to fix that one too. I couldn't believe I was actually fixing the transmission leak myself! I'm just an O.K. mechanic and would never have thought to attempt this before seeing the step by step. It would have cost me a lot of money without this help. Gotta love this Forum!
