you'll do fine. just keep on it the entire time. Do not EVER let up. My son now has a an M3 and I really want to see what the NA will do with that. we'll see. Maybe I get the chance stock, then with the 74 MM and DCAI upgrade. Should be interesting at least. Should I leave it in auto or flap thru the gears?

 

Put it in 1st, switch off the tc and punch it. The tranny will make the optimum shift much faster than you. Good luck!

It will be very close. I'd give a slight advantage to the BMW though. Just be glad it's not an E90...

Also, what's up with racing on busy streets? At least find an industrial area if your gonna run it on a street. An acquintance of mine killed a lady and her daughter last year, so I've wised up.

 

Just out of curiousity, since I've yet to run the Cross NA up to full speed when it's in manual mode, I have the autostick, will the tranny upshift itself at somepoint at around the 5K rpm range. By the time it gets to 4500 it's screaming pretty loudly so I slap it up, but it's still I think not at the right place for the upshift. So if in a straight line race if I leave it in first and then just let it go, is that the best way to run the NA for the best mode of a run?

 

The car will automatically shift to 2nd gear when it gets near redline. Both of my Crossfires see near 6000 RPM when I go out for a drive.

 

If the M3 doesn't have P Chip straight line you'll hold your own or better. On a road course your toast. Have fun, be safe.

Make sure you put it into first from a stand still as theres a massive difference in performance compared to drive. Same applies to on a roll, dont worry about changing gears as it will automatically do it at redline. Race him on a roll and dig and tell us your results. I think you've got it in the bag!

As for the modifications? Auto bought in Italy which seems to me that this is standard. No modification.

These two cars are very comparable In that their engines were made around the same time? C32 vs M3. Im pretty sure the M3 came out after the C32/SLK32? Both have 6cylinders and 245kw but yet again ///AMG pulls through easily. Good kill mate
