Resonator Delete
yea just got my car back form the muffler shop(RESONATOR DELETE) for $130.00 out the door and yes munch better sound ...now it sounds more like a sports car than just a lot of air moving out the back....i think its a great mod and i got the idea from here,thank you all for the great idea

I question whether those that have said they've done the muffler removal actually have removed the resonator and think that it was a muffler.....therfore calling it a muffler delete?
I know at least one who did it is a very knowledgeable person on here. I believe they cut the muffler out, and put a y pipe to split the single entry to two, and used that as the tips, or made custom tips.
I'm still debating, it just seems eaiser to do or redo, and I have done this on my previous turbocharged car (not a crossfire though), and it sounded very nice.

BTW - did you have to do any Y-Pipes, or did he just run a striaght pipe though where the resonator once was?
