Default SRT6 vs Subaru Forester

Sorry, I gotta rant!

Heavy traffic this morning, get stuck behind slow moving traffic in the middle lane.
I see the middle age lady in the clapped out Forester looking to pass me and do the classic MN block you in move.

No problem, we'll just let 350HP of AMG power make short work of this.

I swing out in front of her and punch it. Waiting, waiting , waiting, then whammo flying forward into the car in front.

Good thing she was on her toes, she jammed on her brakes avoiding hitting me while I waited for the ECU to make it's next move. I got the finger from her at least.

So a 80hp Subaru Forester is in fact faster than an SRT6 in traffic.

Sorry, power is nothing without control....... I'm out.

Yes, it drives me crazy. Upper rpms it seems great. When I'm are cruzing in traffic and need to pass or liven things up, it lets me down. I just did the throttle reset yesterday too.

Yes, well then the car will flatten your eyeballs a little. No problem there. I'm talking when you don't have time for that. Defensive, rush hour shenanigans is when I get my kicks.

Maybe I need the Turbonator!!!!!!

I am a fan of the autostick in that type of situation too. Once I start playing with it it just continues until I hit open road.

Sounds like you all need a Sprint Booster. SRT SIX has a few...

While I feel your pain regarding bonehead, stupid, rude and downright dangerous drivers, it should be noted that the Forester has been available with same engine as the WRX, putting out well in excess of 200HP. With a light tune they're capable of running low 13s in the 1/4 mile. Obviously still no match for an SRT6, but far from 80hp.

Still, it's times like that when I wish I had a solid old Dodge 4x4 pickup - let the idiot driver be an idiot, and if I can't get out of their way, oh well.

WRX has 265bhp. Can tune, exhaust, and CAI for about $1,800. Will put out 335bhp. Not shabby. Why buy the STI??
