Default Brilliantly Simple!

Okay, so two days ago I got my resonator taken out and replace with a clear pipe. The work was quickly and brilliantly crafted, I have Iowa Muffler and Brake to thank for that. Anyway, I just wanted to recommend this mod for anyone who has been thinking about exhaust modifications, but wants to keep it simple, but meaty. The sweet spot, so to speak is 2nd gear, at about 4100 RPMs.

I did that to mine two years ago. Cheap, simple and very effective.

Love the sound.
Yep, @ 4100 RPM's just about perfect.

This modification does not involve the catalytic converters, so even in Calif it is legal. It's a "cat back" modification.

I have also had the resonator out for over 2 years.... I think the sound has improved a little over time... nice little grumble at idle and waaayyyy nice running her up.....

Hey now...I have a na and they don't have a "resonator" to remove
Only SRT's have resonators....na's have cats only.
2 near the manifold and 2 before the muffler...thats it.

Yes, most definitely.
The exhaust systems of both the SRT6 and N/A are pretty similar, and to my knowledge, both use the same exact resonator.

Are you SURE?
Perhaps it has already been removed???
I think the technical term for the resonator is not resonator, but something else.
Tell me this, when you look underneath your car, look for a odd-shaped, round-cornered box-like metal thing that is about the size of a medium sized birthday cake before the muffler. If you already know what it looks like and you are 100% sure you don't have one on your car, I apologize.

I apologize, I researched it and made a phone call, and I was wrong, SRT6s are the only ones with resonators. My bad.

Have you noticed that it may take about 15 minutes for the exhaust system to "warm up" when driving? I've noticed more of a grumble at 20 minutes after I've started the car as opposed to 5 minutes after I've started the car. I've also noticed that the exhaust sounds a little better after driving really fast on the highway for a few minutes as opposed to driving normal 65/70 MPH.
Any similarities? Just curious.

As was I,

It was a back Cat delete done on mine.

Still the sound improved significantly.

Not for those in CA though. Too bad.

I have the Resenator out also. Please nobody have any doubt about taking your reso out. It sounds fantastic. I think it was Mimi05srt6 that was yelling me he also had the rear cats taken put with his Resenator and said it sound even better.
