Default Resonator Delete PICS

I just got a Resonator Delete.

I was under the impression it would be a mild upgrade. It made a huge difference. As if I opted for an entire muffler upgrade.

Dang how that resonator restricted sound!!!!

I got it for $125 for user reference in Glendora, CA at "Startek Mufflers"

Most of the ones I have seen so far have the Y further up the pipes towards the H so it points straight back, his goes to the side.

Here is mine...

The car sounds best under acceleration load from ~2,800 - ~3,400 RPM - and the "back fire" sound when slowing down is AWESOMEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEST and MOST FUN UPGRADE YET!!!!

+ to that! I got mine taken off about 10 days ago; wife said she didn't even notice it until I passed her (well north of the speed limit).
I drove (SRT-6 Roadster) to Lexington, KY, this past weekend and back for a wedding and here is what I found:
1. Below 2500 rpm the sound is somewhat intrusive; above 2500 it's sweet!
2. Mileage was affected somewhat; I stayed at a constant 77 -80mph and averaged 24.78mpg; typically I'd get about 23 mpg at that speed.
3. At WFO there didn't seem to be much difference in the amount of noise it made pre-resonator delete.

Definitely well worth it, and after I get my CAI on and a Eurocharged tune I should be in great shape.

I noticed the brand of gasoline I use gives my car a different tone.

The cheaper Sams Club gas I find to be somewhat 'watered down'? I get less milage on a tank and the sound is not as loud

When I opt for the 76/Chevron gasoline - I seem to have a noticeably louder exhaust time and seem to go further on a tank of gas

Does this sound reasonable?

There are no 02 sensors for the rear cats, so no engine light. Air/fuel may be a little leaner, but the Eurocharged tune took care of everything, resulting in a perfectly tuned car. I love the way the car sounds now, just the way I like it. I'll have to post up a sound clip soon.

Does anybody with resonator delete get a "rattle can" sound that seems to be coming from the trunk area while applying torque, accelerating from a high gear at about 1900-3000 rpm?

Is there anyone in the Indianapolis area who has had this done and would let me stop by to listen to their car and/or could suggest a good shop to have the work done at? The video is nice, but I want to hear it in person before I know if it's something I want to do to my car. Thanks!
