Default Woodburn and Eurocharged ECU tune...

The weather was overcast and dry today so I put the DR's on and went to Woodburn drags for some fun...

I only got 3 runs in.... someone lost their oil on the track and then the timing system went dead for about 30 minutes... I still had a good day and bettered my personal best....

First run was against a Honda.. I win!
12.06 secs @ 114.7mph with a 1.8 60'

Second run was against a Supra..... I loose.. DUH!
11.92 secs @ 114.3mph with a 1.7 60'

Third run was against the Supra again... I loose worse...
12.31 secs @ 111.5mph with a 1.8 60'

I tried to rev too high on the 3rd run and started to spin so let up a little(lights counting down) and then got back on it. Didnt get a very good take off....

The Supra was running 11.2 & 11.3 at 126mph. His best is 10.98 @ 131mph. Not REAL sooped up, but great street car.

Nice runs, Mike!

What kind of Honda were you racing on the first one? S2K?

The Honda was one of the sedan, kind of boxy things... I didnt pay much attention to it... The Supra was what really caught my attention... it looked completely stock except for the roll cage.. so I knew it was faster than 11.5... real nice guy and we agreed we had a couple of the best street cars you could find..

Just curious because when I first read Honda and saw a 13-second time slip, I was shocked

There were a couple of them there.... one real pretty kelly green(?) on... engine top end was yellow and CG hood with the underside painted green to match the car... great looking car..... for a rice mobile... the owner was not a kid either... he did say that someone told him he was too old to own it...

There are a ton of fast Hondas, mostly stripped down hatchback Civic's w/ a motor swap and turbo. They can get much fast er than that.

As far as the Supra... They were born to be fast. My buddy has 3, one with a single turbo that runs 9.41, his plate is "NoCage". He gets one run in each time due to that, but he wants to keep that one stock looking.

I only wish I could get into the 11.xx with you! Hopefully the Wavetrac will keep you there...

Allan, I have been able to hit the 11.9 mark since 2009..... I just dont go to the track that much....
I feel much better about the car now that I have the full NW fuel mod and the newest EC re-tune... my AFR's are on the rich side, but I dont have to worry about leaning out on the top end now.... once the Wavetrac diff is installed I will feel even better that I wont loose the rear end.... maybe I'll even hit the track more... too bad there aren't any other Crossfires or SLK32's at Woodburn...

Way to go Mike! You did beat the Supra on the one run because he red-lighted. Like he really needed to get a jump on you....LOL!
