It's all failing at the same time. The CPS code finally popped up confirming what some of you already told me. The alarm and keys are acting up so it's off to the trunk to look for water. (new batteries in the Fobs and new car battery) It seems my IAT's are running a bit higher than normal so I'm deciding which pump to use as a replacement. The AFR's are fluctuating, could be the CPS, or an O2 sensor. The bearing rattle is getting louder, which one could it be. It's time to get my hands dirty.

I hear ya Les, I just had the FOB thing. New batteries took care of that though.
You could try re-bleeding the IC system to see if you have a lot of bubbles in there. Also since you have that small IC leak you could try taking out the IAT sensor and cleaning it with MAF cleaner, could be a little coated.

It's normal for the AFRs to fluctuate when they are in closed loop "emission" mode. They should be happily bouncing between 14.0 and 15.0 while idleing and cruising around. When you get on the gas they should smooth out and give you your "tune" AFRs.

I got off my duff this morning and installed the CPS. Thanks to all the trail blazers that posted pictures and tips. The hardest part of the whole process was pulling the wire shield up enough to get access to the connector. Then it was a matter of getting light where this blind man could see. I took off the belt and spun all the pulleys and they all seemed fine to me. Then I put it together and took the hearing aide out of storage (and long screwdriver for the unicorn method) and it's the Code 3 bearing thats rattling up a storm. I plan to put the stock pulley back on until I find a replacement bearing. Rob will be hearing from me, no surprise there!

Yup, mine was making noise too recently. Luckily I had access to a press at work, it was a 5-min job to swap the bearing (from Rob). All is well now.

I snuck down to the basement again today and swapped out the Code 3 for the stock pulley. Cranked it up and behold ......... no marbles! It's the Code 3 bearing that's been making all that racket. While I was at it I removed my Forgestars and put the stock rims back on. The Kumho's make so much noise I can't tell if I have a wheel bearing going bad or not. And not to mention, I can't tell if the noise in the rear is the differential bearings or something else. I'll be taking a trip this afternoon and see what I can diagnose. I plan on some short pulls to data log the stock boost and see how my AFR's are with it and let everyone know the results.

I took the car out for a check ride but heavy traffic was everywhere so I did a U-turn, got pretty heavy on the gas and it quit on me. CPS code (0335 circuit A) Time to recheck my work. All I can imagine is the connector didn't snap all the way in place. Bummer.

Today I passed inspection with the Needswings downpipes. YEA! All good there. Then I went for a joy ride and the car quit again, CPS error again. The car is running smoother than ever but when it reaches around 5000 rpm it misses a few times and quits. This quitting began with the installation of the Advance Auto Parts CPS. I'm putting the old Bosch CPS back in and getting a new Bosch CPS.

Put the original CPS back in and it revs to redline and doesn't quit on me. I'll try and take the Advanced Auto Parts defective china POS back tomorrow. I ordered the supercharger bearing from Rob, new differential side bearings and I'm thinking about a few other things. I'm just waiting until some of the pending issues are ironed out.

I replaced the Code 3 bearing today and the rattle is still there. It seems I'm fixing things that aren't broken. The new side differential bearings arrived too but now I wonder if I needed them. I'm batting 0000000 recently. I went for a short drive and it sure is nice to have the extra power back. The car is just to darn civilized without the Code 3. I think I'm going to leave things alone until after my next track day. I really want to get the feel for the Wavetrac.

I'm confused now. You put the OEM pulley on and the noise went away. So you put a new bearing in the C3 and reinstalled and the noise is back? Are the rivets loose on the C3 backing plate?

Your not confused at all. I'll be searching for the re rivet thread that I know exists. I'm really disturbed about fixing what wasn't broken. My wife sees the parts arriving and is starting to look at me with those jewelry eyes. You know the ones, 4 boxes of car parts = 1 diamond something or other. I've almost used up my free passes on things I didn't need. RATS!
The stock pulley is silent, the Code 3 rattles slightly at idle unless the air is on and then it's real bad. Honestly, the air is always on unless I'm racing. I took a bunch of video's with my camera but when I went to download them ........ only the first one is there. I guess I should look at the bright side, I've switched pulleys several times without breaking that hollow bolt.

I discovered this looseness after having the new bearing pressed in. I took several videos but for some reason only the first one recorded. Doesn't matter, now I have to figure out if I can fix it or .........

I got the Code 3 back on and went for a drive to enjoy the boost. (and test the wavetrac) Ohhh Ahhh it was so good to spin all the way through first and part of second. On the way home things felt a little mushy in the back. I didn't think much about it but today while switching out the stock wheels and tires for the track set I discovered a flat rear tire. I can't find a hole in is, just lots of missing rubber chunks from the fun and games. They were goners anyway. I'm in preparations for a track day on Sunday. We have Tropical Storm Emily passing just south of us tonight and tomorrow so I expect lots of rain for the next few days. Hopefully it will have passed completely by then.

No, I didn't fix it. I'm not sure how. I'd hate to try and make it worse or ruin it. I found a link to a tool to re rivet the pulley but not with the rivets. I'll keep investigating the problem to come up with a solution .... or replace it if I can't fix it.
