Default After Two Years of Following...

I finally got my car! Have a look at the attachment. I picked this one up in Newton, IA from a Ford dealer for $16,700 with brand new Conti tires and it's very clean and with a clean record. Milage was 45,800 and I have a 1,000 mile powertrain warranty. The headlights are really clear too I think that I did well. The car came from Phoenix. The owner was not a previous forum member--as far as I know. Doing Johnson pump tonight, as I am getting lag once the car has been driven for about 20 minutes. That may be why I am the new owner!

Looking forward to hanging with you all and representing in the Chicago area!

Don't forget to do the throttle reset, previous owner/test drivers may have babied it and dulled the petal response. Usually feel a big difference at least the first time. Congrats on the new ride!

I'm having a senior moment, or maybe a brain fart, can someone post the Throttle Reset procedure (once again).

It's too hot, and I'm too lazy to look in the book, or do a seach.

I think it's the turn the wheel thing, but I'm gonna go hose myself down right now, and get some relief from this heat wave...

BTW, Congrats on the purchase, as even the heat won't stop your permagrin now...

Thanks everyone. Now I just need to decide if I want take it into Mercedes/Chrysler to have them try to find a powertrain issue with it. So far so good and going down to put in my IC pump in 20 minutes! Thanks for the thottle reset tip.

Man, it's HAWT out here in the Chicago area. I will NOT be driving this car today, even with the new pump and regained speed.

Key "on"
Throttle Down for 5 seconds
Key "off" (not all the way off though) keep holding throttle down
Throttle Off
Wait 2 minutes

*I think*

The turn the wheel thing is to reset some other light

Very Nice car! A black SRT roadster is about the only car I would trade my V8 for.

Believe that one is for the BAS light reset.

Hey bhahlbeck nothing is wrong with your car. All of the BLACK ones run like that!

ENJOY THE RIDE!

Does the throttle learn from the driver? Hadn't thought of that... Thanks for the info.
