I was at the Mecum auction and saw a SRT 6 that had the speed actuated rear spoiler. Was that an option over the fixed wing?

 

No, it wasn't an option. Maybe the guy traded his fixed wing in for an NA style. Or maybe it wasn't an SRT?

 

Yeah, I'm no aficionado obviously, but it did have the supercharged engine. Don't know about the brakes and suspension. This is the first Mecum auction I've been to and don't their credibility at all. Somebody paid $16500 for it though.

 

Car presented as SRT6. Sold at Dallas auction. No fixed wing. Any body see it? lot f 106

OMG..... Someone actually.... finally...... bought the Black Max. Is this the end of the 2 year auction circuit on this car? I feel sorry for the person that paid 16.5K for that car. They probably thought that they were buying a rare production version. Ohhhhh.... and shame on Mecum if they represented it as a factory edition.

Do a search on here for Black Max, and you will get the full... ugly history of this car.

 

Would love to have seen and heard this one ..... just to hear the build up that Mecum did ..... anybody tape this?

 

I was wondering what had happened to that piece of crap. it's been to more auctions then most dealer reps and they finally got someone to bite. Wonder if the new owner will find the forum?

$16,500. And why the F$%& would Mecum stoop that low?!?!? I think I may have to move over to Barrett-Jackson for a bit......
