Default New Owner Of A 2005 SRT-6

I have been a member here for awhile, am an original owner of a 2004 Alabaster White Crossfire, and FINALLY, I just purchased a 2005 Gray SRT-6, VIN# 1C3AN79N55X038727 (#244 on VIN list). Car is currently located in Miami Florida. Very clean, 2 owner vehicle, 72,000 miles. Completely stock except for Megan Racing exhaust tips. Paid $12,400 +tax/title.

I was looking at a 2005 Black SRT-6 with 43,000 miles, but it had engine issues (NA 3.2 block and internals used in rebuild), and had a salvage/rebuilt title. At $7,100, it just was not worth the issues and that it would never be worth more than it's parts. It is not on the VIN list, #1C3AN79N85X043758 if someone wants to update the list.

Here are a couple pics of our new baby. Flying down to pick her up around Thanksgiving.

Very nice looking ride. I don't think I have seen her around. Good luck...... Have fun/

Don't tell it is going to Toledo. It is too cold up there for her. Unless, you are getting her new shoes and a heated home. LOL

Not Toledo, but Port Clinton. After the ride home from Miami via New Orleans and then SW Kentucky (visit hers and my relatives), It will go to bed for the winter just like the 04 Crossfire and 07 300C. Will be driving the 96 S10 Blazer for around 5 months!

Friend of mine will pick her up and take to his shop in Fort Myers till I can fly in, there it will get some TLC to take care of a couple of small blemishes, get some 35% tint all around, and some new rubber.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm a recent SRT-6 convert myself and don't regret the change.

Are you sure that you don't want to leave her down here for the winter? We will take good care of her..... Maybe even give her a new coat,,,, of wax and a nice buff job. She might even want the company of her close cousins 2 blk roadster SRT's. She will feel right at home in Doral.

Once she gets up north she will feel superior to the NA and the 300 and will become very possessive of your time. She won't want to share.

PS... I am from Toledo

If I could stay, we would, but can't leave the job at the local neighborhood Nuke Plant in Ohio just yet. We will never get rid of the 04 Crossfire, part of the deal, have to pass the keys of the 04 to the wife. The 300C will surprise people, 4.18 seconds 0-60 and mid to high 12's is nothing to underestimate. Does not handle like the Crossfires, but can't beat the ride!

Beautiful car! Congrats and enjoy when you get it home! I was looking at several of that color before getting the SSB instead. I just drove my SRT home myself recently.

It was on EBAY and Autotrader both, plus their website. I went back and forth for three days between it and the 05 rebuilt title unit on EBAY. Me and wife decided better to get the more expensive option with clean title and none of the mechanical issues. I was getting real nervous was going to miss it, and as soon as I hit the buy now button, called dealer and told him I just bought it. At that moment, he had 6 calls in past 30 minutes, sitting with someone in his office starting purchase agreement, another waiting outside his office, and two other buyers being shown the vehicle. If I had waited 10 minutes more, would have missed it. Next closest was one in Houston, 10 k less miles, but not as clean, and 3 grand more! It was a very good deal!

Yes, I think the graphite metallic is a beautiful color. I should be flying in the 17th or 19th to Fort Myers. My friend Dave from Fixer Motorsports will pick her up this weekend or first of next week to take back to his shop to store inside till I get there.

He is going to get it serviced, detailed, 35% tint installed, possibly some new rubber, and the small dent on the hood and the little scuff on lower rocker looked at to see if can get them removed. Will spend a day/night in Fort Myers, then off to New Orleans to see in laws for few days, then up to Ky to visit my brother and relatives for Thanksgiving, and then back to Ohio (and crappy weather of course).

Full coverage insurance is only going to be $394 per year, added it today. Liberty Mutual is one of few that will cut the rates based on fact I can't drive but one of the four vehicles at any one time.

Sucks will only get to drive it for about 1 1/2 weeks before winter storage.

She will get picked up by Dave tomorrow and placed in air conditioned storage till I get there on the 17th of November. Can't wait.

I have to give props to Joe Polanco from FERCO Motors in Miami. After the sale was completed, Joe took it upon himself to;

Have the vehicle serviced, new filters and Mobil 1.

Front tires a little worn, so had two new tires installed/balanced.

Hood prop rod cylinder was bleeding down slowly, so ordered/installed new OEM part.

Complete wash and wax.

This was over $500 in cost to FERCO Motors, and performed completely on their own, I had not questioned or asked for anything as I was totally happy with the price which my bank said was $3000.00 under current book value.

When I asked why, he simply stated he wanted to make sure I was 110% happy with the car and their customer service.

If looking for a car in the Miami area (or even out of state), give Joe Polanco and FERCO Motors a try. They deal in a full range of vehicles, from everyday rides to high end Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, etc.

If you swing through Orlando on your way to New Orleans, you can hang with 3 more Graphite SRT-6s, and 3 SSBs, and quite possibly the largest concentration of Crossfires outside of Detroit. I have a Graphite 6, the lovely girlfriend (KimPossible) has a yellow Limited roadster, and I'm dreaming of another Aero Blue SRT roadster! Need to hit that POWERBALL!!!

Graphites are the best color. Congrats. Consider 15% on rear window - 35% is good on the sides but lets in too much light when those idiots in SUVs pull up behind you. It also provides a little more privacy for the trunk. That's how I had both my SRT6 and my son's 2007 tinted and it works great.
