I'm with Gary... that paint makes FP's roadster look dirty!

For a moment I thought it was Ashley's down in FL, but she just put the wheels on last week

Do you guys think those front calipers are from a Base or Limited model? Don't look like the AMG calipers that came stock.

The calipers would have to be SRT to fit those rotors. As far as an accident, it could not have been very serious since it doesn't take much to total a Crossfire. It still looks like a great car to me.

Much truth.

Ignoring body damage, if you pop both airbags, it's $8,000.

Not only do you have to replace both airbag modules (Mercedes part numbers) but you also have to replace the $2,000 dash pad, which requires some 6 hours of labor. Then, there's the windshield, which will spider from the force of the passenger bag.

Since the FMV of most Crossfires is $12-$14K, it won't take much more. Likely the impact wasn't even hard enough to pop the bags.

I'd buy it for a cruise car, but not for high-speed shenanigans.

the accident may have just been a door srape like Doc had. you never know. If i have been a buyer I would have looked it over and detected what was repaired. You can usually tell by some extra orange peel around the edes of panels, bols that have been turned etc. I doubt this car had any damage that would effect high speed runs. If someone worked on this car they sure did a good job on the paint! Someone out there got a steal and must be very happy.

I think the color had a lot to do with it.

But that's just me!

If you do an Ebay advanced search you can see just completed auctions. I was suprised to see that most Crossfires don't sell at all or not for much. that is how I found this one.

It had been on ebay a few weeks earlier. The starting bid was $9,000.00 and no bids were posted the first time around. It was being offered at their dealership for $10,900.00, and their website said a sale was pending as of Dec. 5. I had even told Jim(amx1397) about that car, and he thought it was a steal, too. He thought it would be a great candidate for a motor swap at Accelerated. I would have bought it, but a daily driver for me has to be bigger. Like an '01 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0.

Too many people have been killed on scooters around town as of recently, and that has scared Kim enough to keep me from riding my little gas sipper. Come spring, I will be selling both my scooters and WISELY using that money for a SC pulley and tune.

That's right around what we picked up ours for, with less than half the mileage. Plus it's Graphite, not the old timer's favorite SSB.

Damn....DJ...I could have had a coupe to match my roadster....Then I could be Black, Black and Blue....That was a future true race car right there...I could afford to throw everything onto it, and just enjoy the blue one...You see another at that price...I would be interested...

That is a decent price, but definitely some salt corrosion evident under the hood, MA registration explains that.

Could have been a flood car....regardless. Would have been a nice race car if you can buy one under 10K....
