Some SRT6 Concerns
Hey everyone, im brand new to the forums and everything, but Im seriously thinking about buying an SRT6 in about 3 or 4 weeks and I just wanted to ask some questions from people who already own this car. It has 58,000 miles and is 12,000 dollars so it sounds like an amazing deal, just some concerns. If this beast does break down on me(being its mostly Mercedes) how much will repairs costs me, and also what are some common problems that SRT6's usually will have. Tuesday im getting a diagnostic done on the whole car. I just want some advice and feedback from some experienced owners.
Thanks
Thanks
Inner Cooler pump goes bad, small oil leaks around valve covers, crankshaft position sensor fails, relay control module has poor solder joints, so it will fail. You need to do your homework and read thru the threads on here. There are sticky notes about how to's on you fixing these problems yourself. Whomever is doing the diagnostics on this car better know the car or you are wasting your money. Most dealers know absolutely nothing about the car, and Mercedes won't work on them. $12K is a steal.....btw...all the above mentioned problems WILL happen sooner or later...important to know and understand their fixes. All can be done by you for under $500.00...a dealer, 10x that amount if they can figure it out...good luck

I found the other one I saw listed in Florida not too long ago for $12,000....it was Black and traded in by a forum member to Cocoa FL (Caviar Dreams) He made a rant about what a POS the car was and told us not to buy it from them. Then removed his post.
Yet, he had tried to sell it here on the forum before trading it in... ....so stay away from that one.

Not many people put up a post when they have had no problems.
