c32 Needswings DCAI installed, video & pics
Posted video to youtube --- VID_20120120_170150.3gp - YouTube....
My first thought was WOW when I received the box with this intake...all the parts were wrapped tightly and secured so that they weren't just loosely floating around in the box.
Installation took less than a hour and a half while taking my time...all I needed was a flat head screw driver!
The hardest was getting the length of the intake just right, other wise it would have taken less than 30 mins to install.
Driving the car...I dont have any dyno numbers yet, but Im going off the SOMP theory and guesstimating at least 8-10 hp and same amount for torque...I will be posting number next week!!! It definately has more pick up...so the torque numbers might be higher than the HP...btu well see very soon.
Sound while driving...THROATY!!! Sounds like it has guts now, although I do have a custom dual exhaust for the C32 and the sound is a lil "V8 ish" you can definitely hear the roar from the engine now more than ever!
Hope the pics/video and write up are sufficient, as its simplicty cant be overkilled...its an intake and only needed one flathead screw driver!
I'd like to say Rob is a master fabricator and I see why all you guys swear by this man, as I do now too!

looks great, i would like to see it installed with more of a "tucked in" look around the engine but i will email you about that tomorrow.
Very nice! I only have the single CAI for now, but I did notice after installing it that I could REALLY hear the whine of the supercharger (probably my favorite part about it!). The additional power was great as well.
Man... I wish that setup fit the SLK32! Also the C32 has a much better scoop setup through the front support... Looks great. I get what he's saying about "a little more tucked". Probably could be tweeked a little to further impove the airflow.

I wish I could hear the whine a little bit more but because of the exhaust and its loudness its not "that apparent"...
try flipping the elbows from the 55 tubes. they look longer at the y. flipping them would bring the tubes closer to the engine
