Default Oil Catch Can???

So the Needswings oil catch can came in. NeedsWings Crossfire Oil Catch Can Kit

It's a box with the catch can, roll of hose, 6 hose clamps, 5 cable ties, 1 bolt, and 1 bolt with 2 washers and a nut.

No instructions and the parts in the box doesn't match the parts list on the website.

Doing a search, I found a decent set of instructions for the NA but it used different parts and stated the installation is different on the SRT.

Anyone try installing one of these with the parts described above on a SRT?
Thx

Rob usually includes the instructions in the order receipt/tracking email. I almost guarantee it's there...

I have a can I want to install, it came from someones NA and I want to install it on my SRT. I never got all the parts from the guy who sold it to me.

I do not want to take it all apart to see what I need so I am interested in what is required. You cannot see too much as it sits now. I think I need a cap plug though. If the hose fits OK , then I think the hose clamps are overkill and look wrong.

Why did you buy a partial used kit? It's a cheap mod brand new.

If you wait a week or two, I will be more than happy to lend you a hand with the install. Though, admittedly, when I looked at my y-pipe and intake manifolds I just took off the car...there is a lot more oil in there than I expected.

So the questions is...can you wait two weeks?

It must be said that this job can be done without removing the plenums, if you think you can do without cleaning them. In this case you just remove the whole intake and filter assembly and get to it.

From what I see it's an awkward job to do and I have yet to get up the required enthusiasm to do it. I'm just born lazy though, a handicap since birth - and getting worse.

I am going to try and get my missing parts from Needswings first.

This is helpful.
I don't think I'll be removing the manifolds as the car only has 10K miles.

The install is really very easy..... the biggest pain is getting the hoses off the fittings to start and the Y underneath the TB..... the catch can mounting is simple and ingenious.....

Mike, that hood is growing on me.... Change the photo...lol Catch can is easy, if the instructions baffle you, I could post some photos of it as I am about to clean both mine.... I never ran a longer hose out the bottom like some have, so I have to unbolt mine and drain it.

I thought about a catch can very hard. I was shocked by the pictures of those with oil in the upper valve cover vents. When I did my elbow debaffle I took off the drivers side hose from the elbow to the upper valve cover. It was totally dry and completely oil free. I had expected some oil (I am a lead-foot) and was pleasantly surprised none was present. Seems this XF doesn't need a catch can yet.
