Default SRT6 Phenolic Spacer GB - $150

Hey Everyone,

We had some requests for phenolic spacers, so we ran a batch!

Helps cool IATs down and simple install. These go under your plenums and require 2 new gaskets each. (not included) This is a set of 2 spacers. After install you can actually rest your hand on the plenum after a run and you won't get burned!

Order Here

Stupid question, but do the intake manifold inlets still mount snug into the Y-pipe? What are they made of?

Thanks!

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but the variance in the thickness of the material will be too irregular for a good seal unless they where machined top and bottom before being cut out. Rob, AMX1397 and myself have done extensive testing on this and regardless of the use of cork gaskets and gasket sealer, there were still boost leaks and this was confirmed both on the car and on a test bench where we could give it a best case scenario.

I have some on my car and did get them to seal. I taped a piece of fine grit sand paper to a flat welding table and lightly scored the surface to promote sealing. I use OEM gaskets and a spray sealant (hi Les!). IT CAN BE DONE!

This mod has shown to gain WHP on vq35 cars. It is a proven and very common mod on these engines. Anyone have similar experience with the srt-6?

I can't keep my stock intakes sealed let alone adding another factor to the mix.... boost is boost.... But many swear by these little spacers...good with your sale...

I have had 6mm phenolic spacers on the Aero for over 3 years..... they work fine but I found that the best sealant was the copper gasket sealer.... I still have to re-torque my plenum screws once or twice a year..... but that is not a uncommon thing...

No, it is not uncommon at all. That needs to be checked all the time. And, I don't run any spacers....
