Okay, don't flame me please, but I have searched here, I have searched on mbworld.org and all over Google for specifications on the IHI Lysholm unit fitted to our vehicles. I cannot believe it is so difficult to find a definitive specification on the internal displacement of the unit.

I have been seeing two numbers, 1.6 liters and 1.8 liters. Can someone please clarify which it is? No particular reason, I just want to know.

 

It's a 1.6L. If you're looking for an efficiency map, here is one from the 1600AX which would be very similar to to the one in our cars.
