Default Meth and nos dual cai help needed. Needswings.

Ok here we go.
I have meth and nos installed.
It was done by the former owner. (Mrphotoman)
The car has been dataloged and tuned for it.
It has the needswings single cai on it. The nos and meth are plumbed to the silicone elbow at the back of the motor.
I ordered the parts from needswings to convert the single cai to a dual.
The elbow will be replaced with the y adaptor.
I am not real confident in the way the meth and nos are plumbed to the silicone elbow. The fittings are not very secure.
What I was thinking about doing is drilling and tapping (or weld in bungs) to the metal cai tubes right before the y adaptor to mount them more securely. Meth on one side and nos on the other.
Does anyone have any insight on this? I can't foresee it being any different than it is now.
Opinions or alternative options wanted.
Thanks

I don't see an issue with it. However, the meth is sort of pointless when you're running nitrous. With that being said, you probably want to run the meth on days when the bottle is empty, so it does make good sense in that regard. Do you plan on running this year before the tracks close?

I would like to try to make it to atco raceway in New Jersey before it closes for the season.

Not sure if that is going to happen.
Mrphotoman got an 11.86 out of it with the meth.
He did not get to the track with the nitrous but did tune with it.
The meth is set to cool and prevent the timing from being retarded.
The nitros is a small shot but I am looking forward to seeing how it does.
I have not tried the nitrous yet as it is illegal on the street

Grip grip, I have read many of your posts here. You have a nice ride.
Thanks for your input.

you can have a bung welded in each of the intake manis, at the elbows... I will be injecting meth at those locations on both sides. I'm not a real fan of nitrous, but each to their own...have fun with it...stay away from the hurricane...

Yea this storm is suppose to be bad. The last storm we had this past Labor Day is what killed my last crossfire. A tree fell on it.
I hope to have better luck this time.
I can weld/fab whatever I need myself. I'm just not sure if running meth on one side and nos on the other would cause and weirded things to happen due to turbulence or something.
Obviously the nitrous will only be used once in a while. The meth is set to spray when it hits 10lbs of boost.

you won't hurt anything with the meth...but what worries me is the tune. Are you using anything to monitor the motor. This is exactly why I am installing the zeitronics right now, and using the dashdaq...just to keep an eye on things, and to make sure the tune is just right....you bought a beautiful car, just don't want to see you break it....

Yea I don't want to break it either. Mrphotoman dataloged and tuned it.
It is allready tuned for the meth and nitrous. I am just adding the drivers side cai tube.
That is why I am a little concerned about moving the nozzles from where they are. It's only a couple of inches from where they are now.
This car runs fantastic.
I did rewire some of the stuff he did. It all worked but I just like things a little neater and I prefer solder on all my connections.

I would want to know about that tune if I were running it....just be careful with it...without monitoring, you really don't know what is truely happening...
