Reposting for your info, FYI
Got a pm from FUBU and wanted to answer him, and share for the group.
QUOTE=FUBU]Hi bud,
Hope all is going well with tunes and such!
I am jumping on the 61mm train from EC.
So the Waldig supercooler is also being installed shortly. You being its inventor, I have a couple of questions:
1. What coolant should be used? cannot remember the brand but "redline" (less bubbles etc) addidatives.. ?
+++++++++++
I use Prestone, and distilled water and about 30% mix for Virginia. To this I added some water pump lube additive. Anti freeze transports about 60% as much heat as water. The more water the better cooliing, 100% water is great but to maintain chemistry I use some antif. and water pump lube on my SEPARATED NO PRESSURE I/C COOLING CIRCUIT.
2. Should I flush the system before hand
+++++++++++++
i WOULD IN A HEART BEAT, PLEASE USE A CLEAN BUCKET AND FLUSH IT OUT, NOTE AND SHOW US THE MESS THAT COMES OUT, I WAS SUPRISED THE FIRST TIME I DID IT. SEE YOUR #5 QUESTION PLEASE.
3. Should I do the "pump on att all time" mod? (connect so the pump runs at all times?
++++++++++++++
YOU CAN, I DID NOT AS IT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE AN ISSUE AS THE PUMP RUNS ABOVE ABOUT 1700 PRM ANYWAY. IF YOU DO LET US KNOW IF IT HELPS.
4. anything I should be thinking of when installing it?
+++++++++++
I SEPARATED THE SUPER COOLER FROM THE RADIATOR WITH FOAM TAPE ABOUT 1/2" THICK TO PREVENT WEAR, RUBBING OR LEAKAGE OF AIR AROUND THE SUPERCOOLER, SHUNTING THE COOLIING IT WOULD GET FROM THE FAN OPERATION.
5. This is a second hand waldig but I guess it is just to clean with air hose and also just clean it with water inside? or what shall I pour it with?
++++++++++
I WOULD ASSEMBLE IT AND CLEAN THE ENTIRE CIRCUIT AT THE SAME TIME, I USED PRESTONE RADIATOR FLUSH PER THE INSTRUCTIONS - A GENTLE DRIVE TO CIRCULATE THE CLEANER FOR 15 MINUTES, THEN DRAIN INTO BUCKET AND PHOTOGRAPH IT. fLUSH 2-3 TIMES AND THEN FILL AS NORMAL.
Many thanks for your answers ;D

Prestone may be OK for Woody but for most of us Zeerex G-05 (or an equivalent HOAT antifreeze) is recommended. In Sweden the mixture would be 50/50 for best protection.
Do not use an OAT or Dexcool antifreeze.

Ok great! Will do this install in 2013 April so no greater hurry but always nice to know what to do. Thanks for all the answers.
