Default New Emblems - Feedback Requested.

I put these "Supercharged" emblems on before Christmas and I for the most part like them but still haven't decided it they are subtle enough for my taste. I am not a big fan of aftermarket stickers but when I saw these on eBay I thought they might work. What do you think? Don't worry I won't get my feelings hurt. They were only $10 so I wouldn't care about taking them off and discarding them if I don't end up liking them. I feel like some type of emblem should go in that location like it does on other similar caliber sports cars. I looked at the 3.2 AMG stickers someone is selling again over on MBWorld but decided they aren't subtle enough and I didn't like the fact the AMG clashed with the other exterior SRT signage.

My *only* critique is that these are modeled after the Audi S-Line.

Aside from that, I think they look good and I agree that area needs "something".

I know what you mean about the 3.2 AMG emblems, I actually purchased and received a set, and they're still on the bench at home. They look great off the car, I'm just not convinced where I'm going to put them, or if I will utilize them at all.

I don't think that they look too bad. It's all in if you like it.

Yeah I wish the emblem didn't have the red box around it. If it was just a small silver shape it would be great in my mind.

I think they clutter up the side of the fender, they might be OK a foot or so lower if the strakes were not there.

I am not fond of the strakes anyway and would prefer just plain fenders.

Sticking things on the car leads to unfaded paint under them when they fall off or you get to bored with them. Then you cannot forget them. Even black cars suffer from this in a smaller way. So you had better like them now.

I like it. The other day a car parked next to mine at the VA. He had emblems on the fenders that said V-12 bi-turbo. On the back it said CL65. As the old boy got out I asked how fast?He said 0-60 in 4 seconds flat.

Thanks. Don't like the fake rivet/screws in the corner though. Yeah I am particular.

I agree with you on both points. That said, someone once did a shop job of a Crossfire without the strakes and it looked really bad. Maybe its because I am so used to seeing the strakes but I couldn't say I liked it regardless.

Now that's a serious AMG. Hope he has the money to keep it up!

Took the words out of my mouth! As for the SRT-6 badge, we got our car without it, and it just didn't look right to me. Took me a year to find one, albeit used and lightly faded, but I felt it completed the car. I wasn't about to put the '06 style sticker badge, regardless of how inexpensive it was. The only other badge on the car sits atop the supercharger(thanks Sparkie!).

You know what would be great is if there was a mod you could do to one of the silver strakes to have a very small (maybe inch long) old school SRT logo slightly embedded in the strake so that the curvature of the strake was seamless with the decal. I am thinking of what the new M3 has.

That would be the level of subtlety I was going for. Probably going to take off these decals.

I think you're onto something. Maybe even something like this, applied to the middle strake?

Dodge SRT 4 Decal Sticker Mopar RAM Durango 4x4 Neon | eBay

Granted, you'd want the version that said "6" but still. In silver, it would almost have a "ghost" look to it.

Just throwing more ideas out.

I've often considered getting this badge and simply removing the "4" and installing it on the decklid. This would accent the SRT "grille badge" many have done on here. There is a chrome SRT-10 version but it's huge.

Like both of those ideas. The main problem is finding an emblem that is small enough. After some digging, the smallest SRT logo I could find was 3" long. I'd really like a tiny little one. I wonder if a custom decal online store would do it.

I am actually thinking of figuring this out. If anyone has a file containing the old style SRT-6 emblem, preferable high res and not the colored one that Google image results pulls up, that would be great. PM me.

Gotta admit, but, I am not a huge fan of the fender badges. I prefer the '05 SRT's badgeless look on the fenders. I also prefer the '05 squarer badge style - does anyone reproduce these yet?

I ended up pulling them off this weekend and scrapping them. No damage to the paint or even residue leftover so no harm no foul. I agree with you, downunder, that the '05 style badges would be ideal but no one that I know of actually produces them in the aftermarket.

It's a pity that no one reproduces them.

Due to the low build quantity of the SRT-6s, it's probably not financially viable for a company to make them?

I have my OE 2005 version of the SRT nameplate from when I de-badged the car... if someone wishes to produce them, I can provide mine for a prototype.

There is a post somewhere here that says the '05 SRT6 design was protected by copyright and the '06 was not. Just saying.
