Newbie intro!
I've been lurking for a few months now.... I recently married into the Crossfire SRT circle and couldn't be happier! The wife has an '05 SSB SRT6 Roadster that she bought because "It was pretty and peppy". Lol....
I've previously owned a Buick Grand National and was deep into the knowledge base for that car and am hoping to become at least a little adept with the Crossfires.... I sold my GN to my brother, so at least it's still in the family. My best in the that car was a 10.73 @ 134mph. I don't expect (nor want) to do the same in the wife's Crossfire, but hope to make it a solid 12 sec performer.... In any case, glad to be here and glad to see that you guys are as helpful as the GN community is. Nobody seems to be keeping secrets with regards to performance stuff. Glad to be a part of the community and hope I can add something in return! |
Re: Newbie intro!
10.73 is wheel standing GN. Welcome aboard.

Re: Newbie intro!
Welcome aboard, I too thought the dual intake thingy was pretty and ponied up the extra $$ even though it wasn't exactly needed on my N/A! I suggest hoping on the Eurocharged tune as they are currently making a list for a discounted price https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-flashing.html

Re: Newbie intro!
Welcome to the forum.
I've got to ask, what gear ratio were you running in your GN to get into the 10's? I think all it would take to get the SRT Crossfire's that are currently running in the mid 11's "modded" into the 10's is the right gear. Somebody said they did it not long ago (installed a 3.73) but I haven't seen anymore about it. There are many 12 sec. Crossfires out there, so you should have no problems, it's already supposed to run 13.3. stock. Enjoy.:D |

Re: Newbie intro!
Welcome.
I'ld do all the other stuff you mentioned before replacing exhaust parts. Not much gain to be had there. Happy modding! |

Re: Newbie intro!
All it takes for 12s is an intake and a decent driver. With the mods mentioned, and some slicks, you can hit 11s. Again, with a decent driver behind the wheel that is....

Re: Newbie intro!
I'm not the worst driver... Got my GN into the 10's with 1.4 60's... Good to hear!!!!

What year was the GN and what all was done to get it to run 10.73. That's a lot of improvement over the best stock time of 13.2.

Re: Newbie intro!
I was running 12.8s all night Friday until those d@mn Hondas showed up not knowing how to do a burnout and leaving water everywhere. And I run street tires(Hankook Ventus 285/35/19) all the time.
