Default Hit the track today with a 75 shot of Nitrous!!!

Unfortunately my dumb a$$ had the lines reversed, so I was flowing twice the fuel and half the nitrous I should have been. Net result, AF ratios in the 9's and slower track times than running without it.

If things go well I'll redeem myself this Tuesday, but there is a high probability of rain.

By the way, my best today was a 12.0. LOL

UPDATE: Ran a 11.3 @ 120 on the 75 shot. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...0-120-mph.html

Ahh..the ZEX kit. Now I get it. Now why on earth didnt you make a test pass down the street after you got it hooked up? Thought that was protocol. Its the first thing I do when I get a new kit on a vehicle. First test the fuel noid. Then Both noids. Then mat it in second squeeze the button and pray I have the right pills in it. LOL

WOW, I didn't realize I'd contracted the forum's Monday-morning quarterback. Next time I'm calling you before I make any changes.

WOW guess if you dont have a gazillion posts everyone needs to be sarcastic..... But on the other hand, Ive never botched a nitrous install either. Looks like my post didnt show the joking matter in which i meant it.

Yer just too danged honest is all. I'm super curious to see what a 75 shot does being that I've never used the stuff and keep considering learning.

Don't start crying on me. You're the one that implied I never tested it. I tested it on the street with the 35 shot and things worked perfectly. The problem is when I swapped out to the 75 shot after the fact, the jets got switched. And I wouldn't exactly call the install "botched". That's a silly, no, that's a ignorant thing for you to say.

Post up some photos of your numerous top-notch nitrous installs if you don't mind. Maybe you could do a write up?

Here you go chief....this is what I could find, I just moved so finding pics to scan and whats on my current phone is not the whole enchilada. I hope this will suffice as a yes, I have a little knowledge. FYI, the direct port was my first kit, oh about 10 years ago that went on. That was on the truck in my youtube in my sig. nu8Zsco.jpg7alWJVS.jpg

Thanks for the photos and nice work on the install. I'd love a nice direct port job, but that's a lot of work and changing out jets has to be a monumental PITA. By the way, do you plan on installing N20 on your Crossfire?

On a positive note, I proved the supercharger can take a hell of a lot of fuel through it without bichin' about it.

I see 9's all the time, just under different circumstances. When the IAT's go up timing is pulled. When ECT's surpass a threshold the PCM dumps fuel like crazy. That threshold is around 235º ECT's. I drop from high 12's to 9's when ECT's surpass the "threshold". The engine doesn't seem to be bothered at all on my car either.

Most systems have the big pill on the fuel side. That could have been a disaster with any other kit but ZEX.

Then that's one more reason I like Zex.

Interesting....
Obviously to prevent major damage and use fuel for cooling.
Les - 235's...just to confirm -
you're only running the ASP178 at around 18psi /w DCAI's??
What cooling setup you running? Supercooler?
Nothing in your sig about it.....
