I don't really know but my gut instinct tells me that the spare pump I have on the bench should be put on my car ASAP. The car has 25,300 miles on it. I plan on putting it on before the old one fails. I have the new Bosch pump, #0 392 022 010.
SparkieSTR6's pump went at 27,000 smiles.

I just turned 20,000 miles And mine is just gone out. I bought a bosh number 10. But was on slick world last night and they are all recommending the Johnson CM 30 for longevity and performance now I'm confused. Can anyone help clear this up before I waste my time putting in the bosh

I am looking at 1 with 48,000 miles and according to carfax theres no record of being changed . At 22,000 miles the fax says there was a drivability/performance checked. 23,000 Engine/powertrain computer/module checked. 28,000 oil changed. Thats the last record of maintenance.

Do a search, everyone was getting the Johnson because of the Bosch pumps weakness but now the tide has turned the other way and it's back to the new Bosch (10).
The fact that the Johnson pumped more gal/min had little or no effect and the higher pressure it produced was thought to be too tough on the IC though I'm not sure that is true.

That's just my interpretation of the posts I've read. I have a used Johnson spare, but I chose to get the new Bosch. As we say around here, 'buy Bosch or walk home'.

Not sure why it wasn't on Carfax. But it's such an easy repair it could've been done by Shadetree mechanic therefore wouldn't be on the Carfax. i don't have a lot of faith in Carfax. I've had my SRT since November after a year and a half search Personally I wouldn't letter intercooler pump be a dealbreaker!

If it's a roadster and everything else checks out that's not a bad price. For some reason in my area I live in Northern Virginia, Registered sell for big money the SRT's. And you could never find one being sold by private owner the dealerships somehow have control of the market. Mine is a 2005 one owner garage cat I thought it was 17,000 miles on it for 19 five although that did include a complete set of Michelin tires. But that was by far the best deal that I have come across an almost 2 years of searching

I guess some of the parts can be expensive And yes it took me a while to find a good mechanic. But I have found there's always someone on this forum that can lead you to the most inexpensive parts! Like any other toy I'm sure I'll outgrow this I will never sell it! It's a blast to drive And look what you're getting for what you're paying your buying a Mercedes on the cheap Only 900 and some of the roadsters were made for one year Take it to an independent Mercedes mechanic get it thoroughly checked out getting that car and have the best time Of your life
