Hi all,

I recently tapped and installed a boost gauge in the 6, and it makes a rattling noise when it goes into boost. Any ideas on what that would be, could the gauge be broken or something? it seems to be functioning correctly other than that. It is a glowshift gauge. Thanks for any help.

Probably engine noise funneled down the tubing you used for the signal. Don't know if there is anything you can do about it though.

 

I remember this in my old VW using a mechanical boost gauge. It needed a little "restrictor" piece in-line with the vacuum tube. I think I got it at Auto Zone for like 2 bucks.
