Default Replacement Intake Hoses

I am referring to the hoses that connect our intake plenums to the Y-pipe and then the one from Y to Intercooler. Has anyone replaced these? Did you go back with AMG hoses or just the autozone replacements?

I was replacing the plenum gaskets on mine and noticed a cut/tear in one of my hoses going to the y-pipe. It is on the inside and further inspection doesn't look to be clean through, but will be replacing asap. This may be the culprit of a leak I have been trying to track down. Anyway, if you haven't inspected these lately be sure to soon. cheers

If it does not go through how can it leak?

Default Re: Replacement Intake Hoses

There were several cuts inside the hoses and I have t-clamps holding them on, which add more pressure mushrooming the hoses. I will clarify that they APPEAR to be ok, but with their age and visual damage, might be leaking with enough pressure.

Edit: I picked up the usual Fuel filler, or reinforced coolant, hose in 2.5" to replace the OEM hoses. I am pretty sure they will hold up and are a tad more durable than the originals so should stand up to the added clamping pressure the t-clamps provide. we shall see.
