Hi everyone,

I am removing the power steering pump on the srt-6 and it is being a pain in the bottocks.
Have anyone ever done this?

1. belt is off - done
2. oil in reservoir has been sucked out - done
3. supply line from reservoir is off - done

4. remove the return hose from the power steering pump
here things gets tricky - Which is the return hose?

5. remove high pressure hose from power steering pump - done

Difficult part / or badly described in manual:

6. remove the power steering pump by removing two bolts attaching it to the engine block

Ok, I have removed them marked in blue. the bolts in red are not even mentioned, but drawn on the diagramme. see below. I managed to remove two of them, on at the top, and another one that is connected to a small pipe, looking like a small cricket club. I believe 1 bolt is the only thing left but it is impossible to reach...

Your showing a diagram for a NA. Is the SRT different? Just a thought.

 

The SRT-6 pump is slightly different from the NA pump. Looks like just enough to be a problem!

Diagramme is from SRT-6 manual... go figure.
