Just put on the Coopers last sat. On my 2004. Only had them a week but I love the ride. You get a $60 rebate card from Cooper on those Zeon tires...different model tires have different rebates. Got mine from Tire Kingdom.
Depends on what you want. For street cars I put a premium on wet weather stopping and usually buy Michelins for cars I plan to keep (BFGs for those I don't).
That said my XF came with a set of stock size Continental Extreme Contacts that are now about 1/2 worn and was surprised how well they stopped on a wet road.

Well, I went with a set of Sumitomo HRTZ II's and they are terrible after using the TOYO PROXES R888's. The TOYO's planted and the car lept forward. Now it fishtails and leaves 2 black streaks 30' long. Strange with the 2 black lines with the ESP OFF!
If the yellow light on the dash flickers, even with the TOYO's, can that be tuned away? I think it means torque is being cut. I know Jerry made an adjustment for it once but even with the super sticky tires it flickered some. I'll need all of the torque possible to help reach my new slower goal of a sub 12.25 et. Thanks all, mark
I went with the obsolete tires as I got them for around $375 shipped from the tire rack so I could concentrate on what parts I still need and then backto something sticky. By the way the tire shop said the Sumitomo HRTZ III's are very sticky and not very expensive, anyone try them? THX, mark
The Tire kingdom does my tire work and they are the ones who said the 3's are very sticky but nothing beats the TOYO's but 4 months or 4k miles is a bit much for nearly $1000.!

Sumitomo are by far the WORST tires for our cars. Like they always say, you get what you pay for. The Toyo Proxes 4 Plus are only $20 more per tire and will run circles around the Shitmitomos, even with them being a AS tire. And believe me when I say that Tire Kingdom will tell you whatever it is you want to hear just to make the sale. Period! If you came in saying you needed some sticky tires then guess what? Every tire will be sticky, but the higher the price, the stickier they'll get!
PLUS... they offer a 45 day / 500 mile trial period for you to test them out.

Mind you, if you're shooting for lower times @ the strip, then a set of seperate racing slicks on drag rims is the only way to go!

In addition to our limited warranty, the Proxes 4 Plus comes with the following treadwear warranty:
- V & W-Rated: 50,000 miles; rear tires of staggered fitments: 25,000 miles
- Y-Rated: 45,000 miles; rear tires of staggered fitments: 22,500 miles
