Well, a few months back I tried to trade my crossfire in on the SRT-6. Well my trade made it impossible. But without the trade in the deal, they said $499 for 36 months, no money down, 12k a year.

Wow, is that for a lease? Where did you get these numbers from (in other words, which dealership was this from)? If that's the case then I am paying too much for my 04 coupe!

That sounds good - especially with 0 down and 12K miles a year. Might have to think about pursuing a deal like that if the money looks right.

Will non-SRT Crossfires receive a better power plant in the near future? Will SRT's receive a Manual Transmission?

I doubt you'll get an answer on that!

I think the answers are self-evident...since the Crossfire is Mercedes part based and Mercedes (even up to their SLR) uses an auto-stick configuration, so I highly doubt you will see a straight performance stick on a SRT-6.

On the same note and to the question about the power plant's...I would be really surprised if Chrysler comes out with a '06 or '07 Crossfire since from what I have found out 1) Crossfire sales are low and 2) this will be the last a Chrysler vehicle will share numerous parts from their MB brother...

DC has confirmed production would end by 07'. I not sure if that means only 1 more year or 2?

that doesn't mean they won't put in 350 v-6s in 06'. It doesn't cost them anything!

For future owners, I hope they do not put in the new 3.5 unless improvements are made....many current MB owners have had problems with this new engine...

Ahh, the ultimate question...but, let me add to this: Will the 6-speed manual Crossfires get a better transmission (like the new SLK 350's transmission is what should be in the car).

Well to me yes, why make a 3.2 for just Crossfires? Or the old 6 speed? Unless they're already made and just using old inventory!
If I was in charge of DC, I'd be making the Crossfire better, not the same in 06'.

All MBs have the new 3.5 V-6 at hardly any price increase! Why make 3.2s V-6s for the Crossfire?

Keerit,

Would you provide the number of SRT-6's off the production line for the year? I can not seem to find this tidbit of info anywhere online.

Thanks in advance.
