Any interest in custom center caps?
I designed some center caps for myself, but figured others may want a set. These will only cover the hub, leaving the lugs exposed. Already have AMG caps doing the job but wanted something to fit the car better. Took me a few hours to do the logo itself, the rest was easy enough. Since I have access to a HAAS VF-2 and VF-3 CNC mills, I'm going to make some to prove out my code program. Hopefully I'll have pics of a completed sample by next week. Still waiting on my aluminum to get delivered.
Please let us know about cost, and I'd lke to see detailed pictures of final product once your materials are delivered and the machining is completed
Just curious, any chance of just doing multiple designs, of the more recent SRT logo, without the 6? I like the idea though, definitely interested!
I'm utilizing Mercedes silver colored hub caps currently. I too have chrome lugs exposed, and have been scouting ideas to do something as well, for the same reason, to better fit the vehicle. I get a lot comments as to why I sport AMG exterior cosmetics on a Chrysler Crossfire.

Depending on how many caps I can get per foot of bar and if my end mills survive (carbide is expensive!), I'm thinking it's going to be around $100 a set. This will most likely include shipping. Right now I'm just going to try this design, the slant style is on grabcad and easily swapped later.
If the SRT slant style goes into production, I'm all in. That's pretty cool to have your own CAD and milling equipment. I wish my work would allow me to utilize our new Hurco horizontal with CAD design software to custom make parts within or model shop.
UPDATE: Got a chance to run the first test piece today. Unfortunately, my classmate who was helping with setup crashed a tool into the part before we even started. We ran it anyway since I still wanted to run my program and thought the ding was going to fall inside the box. It didn't
.....oh well. Still some tooling tweaks to work out that I noticed after the part was run. Regardless of all that, here is the first original SRT-6 logo center cap. 6061 aluminum turned on a Sharpe 1440-L manual lathe and milled on a Haas VF-3 CNC mill.
