Default New (under) hood pads?

Is there such an animal? I would think not, but felt I'd ask.

There used to be, but the guy that made them has unfortunately passed away.

There are none "made-to-order", as Alaxfire says, but the material he used to use is widely available.

McMaster-Carr 9386K51

Call and ask for a sample.
Or look at Design Engineering, Inc.

If the fellow who made hood pads for the XF's must have made a mold. I'd guess he might have used the underside of a hood, then had blocks of wood to press down on the material.

Have you seen one and are they good copies?

I gather that Chrysler is fresh out of them?

The material used seemed a bit stretchy and thus moulded to the hood no problem.
Get one from a wrecked Chrossfire, they are not in great demand and should be cheap. They wash up good I hear.

Correct and correct.

The neat one came rolled up for shipping. You spray-glue it to the underside of the hood. Pretty easy. Just tedious.

Easier to find a junker.
