Default Jerking during deceleration

Not sure how else to describe it but during hard acceleration, if I lift my foot off the accelerator quickly, the car kind of jerks. It doesn't do it if I slowly lift my foot off the gas. Not sure what the problem could be. It has been doing it for a while. Any ideas???

Could be motor mounts being loose/broken and your motor moves around during the transition from on power to engine braking.

Mine did the same thing before replacing motor mounts.

I thought maybe. So replaced motor mounts, transmission mount, spark plugs and wires...and it doesn't do it every time.

How many miles on this car?
Maybe the problem lies in the drive train, too much play in something.

I "only" have 125000 miles on it. Weird thing is I have not been able to duplicate the problem over the last two days. I will probably put it up on a lift in the next few days and check it all out, need to replace the steering stabilizer anyway. Thanks for all the help.

I had a similar issue, especially when accelerating hard out of first gear. It got really jerky trying to shift into 2nd. Ended up getting the electronic board (forget what it's called) in the transmission serviced or replaced and it fixed the issue. It also didn't happen all the time either but was really embarrassing trying to run someone off of a light and it starts jerking like it's looking for a gear and can't find it.

Easy to test motor mounts.. give the car a good acceleration while your hand is on the gear ****, the **** will shake under load and you'll know. Or, lift the hood up, put car in D, put foot on brake, and rev up to like 1500 rpm.. youll see the motor dance around in the engine bay. I feel personally the jerk you are describing could be the SC clutch enganging.. My srt jerks around 1500 rpm and even a lot of the mb guys says this is normal
