Talking Added sound liner when headliner installed

I just down loaded into my gallery photos of the roof panel while to head liner was out. Noticed that the roof was tinny and addition of some sound deadning material made a world of difference. Thought you might consider doing this too, its easy peasy to do.

THE headliner has been in for over a week and the smell from crayons is history, thank goodness. Photos and links below, hope it is of use to the group, Enjoy, WDY

I've got to do this task on my 2007 Coupe. Never thought about adding sound matting to the roof. Great idea!

Great idea! I wish I did this to mine when I recovered the headliner at a shop I took it to. I wonder how the insulation will stand up to the heat from the SC sun baking on it though?

Let me know, our summers here in SC are extremely hot and I would like to know how this holds up.

I embossed it as shown in the video, the material is sorta tenacious and used it to the cover floor for years. I believe it is stable, and the inner plastic roof headliner support will hold it up tightly so it cant sag.

Seen this on roofs on several tv custom car shows, to date I have not heard of issues, so maybe its a good deal. If you have not tuned on to the video, please look as you can compare the roof with your C just be tapping. It makes a positive difference.

Enjoy, Woody

It is great stuff. I have used it in areas of the semi tractor to help quiet but also insulate some areas that otherwise would be cool.
