Are there still issues with the 65mm SC pulleys ? Aluminum I believe. Considering a purchase.
Thanks

hmmm.....not sure there were issues with the 65's...mainly the 62's and like internet/facebook - people only post negatives - so the representation is biased from the outset.
There are many different manufacturers and designs now. Springs/rivets/clearances/remaining material after machining etc. all influence longevity.
A lot of people have been sourcing Polish steel ones (ie: from Poland) over the past 6months - but then again - they have only been in mass service for 6 months - so could be considered "still under mass market testing".

I have a Code 3....65mm one and never a problem in 4yrs and 10k miles of many WOT's. But I believe these are hard to get now a days.

I have a black Eurocharge 64.7mm pulley it's been on my car for over 2years and no problem, I have been tracking the car at least 5-6 events a year.

Aluminum 65mm pulley from EC here. Been on itsky's car and mine for the past 5 years without any issue and I think it's safe to say I run the car hard enough to know. Over 75 passes at the track in the last 3 years and I'm hoping for a few more.

yes there were problems with aluminum 65 mm pulleys. And I am not being biased. They exploded. As did some 62 mm pulleys. Just find a proven 65 mm code 3 manufactured pulley in steel, and you will be good. If not, stay away from aluminum and keep an eye on the one you decide to purchase. It is really that simple.
Now if Chuk is running an aluminum then they have fixed their original problem. But there were problems.

PS - I also have 2 BNIB 62mm EC Aluminium ones for sale ($350USD +post from OZ). I am selling these 'cause I have a 178mm crank pulley going in instead for a 65/178 setup.
