Talking Thought that this would be interesting to the srt community

I have always been interested in trying to get a bit of an edge when I can and enjoy a bargain when they present themselves. This is what I believe covers my latest find and it if it works out , well all the better.
I have been trying to get to the pc and write this for weeks and have fallen short of my goal to get it out in the first quarter of 2017, who would have thought that the first month of retirement would be sooo busy?

Harbar freight has lots of items for sale and some are cheap knock offs while others are acceptable things that do the job just fine. Their Loof Lirpa series of three cyclinder water cooled diesel utility air compressors attracted my attention. After checking it out, I ordered up and bought from their repair parts section, one of the compressor replacement air charge coolers. It looked very familiar even though it was from china. I got the part number by looking at the parts manual of a floor model at the local outlet.

The air charge cooler looks like my original even though it has some differences, so I took several photos for your review. The AMG logo is absent and the pressure port fitting is not drilled out. That is no big thing as the internal passage is the same as mine. It appears that the port only needs you to use a gasket as a template and then drill three holes and tap the end holes. The charge cooler seems to be a Chinese copy but for $88 bucks and change ( $11 for shipping ), it seems like a substitute that I could not pass up.

It’s a lot of work to install, so testing will not be done too soon but I was particularly excited to see that the operating pressure rating was 1034 kpa {which is about 150 psi}. Seems that this should last a very long time in our 15-20 psi boost applications!

Anyway hope it is all informative to you all, I will let you know how it works for me, Emjoy Woody

What's funnier is that I actually typed in "Loof Lirpa Series" in the Harbor Freight search. Dina got me this morning with "Oh No!, the water heater is leaking." I'm getting more gullible in my old age.

I'm pretty certain it's exactly the same as ours (A Garrett).

LOL; Even without browsing "Alibaba", I can see that it is the same. Hey Tuna, I'll pay the shipping if you'll sell me that second one you bought.
