My SRT6 dressed up on Tuxedo

Well guys, I just dressed up my SRT6 with new AMG wheels 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 in the rear. On order to mention some of the mods completed; the car now sits 1.3" lower on German made Vogland springs and F1 Fabrication adjustable cambers. I replaced the stock brake disc with drilled/spotted units. The front end also got a nice personalized treatment with a custom made bumper splitter, Crossfire lettering in the front grille and LED stripes inside the headlights.

That last mod mentioned was really tough to get it done because it was very difficult to open the headlight casing so I can run the LED strips and put them on place. Anyways, I ended up cutting the whole case because no matter how much time I leave the headlights in the oven heating up, the glue didn't get loose at all. Anyway, I was able to re-seal the headlights back again, which was another tedious process but it worked at the end.

Well, I hope you guys enjoy my SRT6 pics. I still have a few more things on mind but I just wanted to show you guys my progress!

a.romdiaz,

Nice subtle touches. I think you hit a homerun with not only lowering the front, but adding that custom front splitter "makes it".
Nice work! Kudoos to you!

Beautiful car! What offsets are the wheels because they look perfect. I’m also wondering if you had to use spacers to achieve figment.

The front splitter is a combination of two splitter sets I bough on eBay. Basically, I only used the two side splitters from one set and the center part section from the other set. The rear ones are the Hyundai Veloster carbon fiber spats. They fit perfectly on the Crossfire.

Looks excellent. Do you have links for the two.

That's an awesome car for sure. Not being critical, but I think the splitters/spoilers would look a lot more complete if they were painted body color.

Do you have a picture of the rear of your car you could post? I was just curious what the Veloster splitters look like. Thank you in advance.

My SRT6 dressed up on TUXEDO, Part II

Hey SRT6 guys, I'm back with another Tuxedo Project. Thanks for all the replies and comments I got since I started this thread. This time, I finished the rear end cosmetic project with another touch of carbon fiber. I don't know about you guys but I love the look of carbon on my car. Keep in mind that this is all custom made install that required a lot of planning, measurement and precision cutting. It really sucks that there's no many aftermarket parts for our cars.

Anyway, my new addition consist of a carbon fiber rear diffuser out of Hyundai Veloster but installed up side down. Why upside down? Simple, the support side of the diffuser does not fit with the fins I already have on my car. So, I don't had any other options than to go custom. Basically, all the hard job consists on how to install the support brackets that holds the whole diffuser to the car.

I really love the way my car looks now with this rear diffuser and the side splitters as well. It provides a very aggresive stance to it. Many people hate the Crossfires because the rear end looks like a dog doing his poo business. I'm sure many of you guys heard that before. However, I don't ever thought like that even before I bought my SRT6. In fact, I wanted to do something that makes people think different about it and this is the result.

I'm also including a few pics of the front end and the car's interiors in order to give you guys a few good ideas on how to do your own if you would like to. We'll, I hope you guys like it send me your comments!

Congrats man that looks bada$$!!!! My brother has a 2016 Veloster Turbo and is out of town, maybe I'll take his off his car lol

As to the last question, I know on the Facebook groups there was guy trying to get something going with Halo led's and and switchback led blinkers. Nothing that I know of came to fruition, I even tried messaging the member and got no response.

These wheels look great and would like to do the same. What size are the tyres please? Did you have to use spacers or anything else to make them fit?

Hey, sorry for the late response. I don't really mind if you get the same rims on your ride. Actually, that would be really cool. For your info, the rims are 19" all around. The front one is 19x8.5 with 235/30/19 tires. In the rear I have 19x9.5, 275/30/19 & 15mm spacers in order to get them flush with the fender.

By the way, the tires brand is Cosmo Muchomacho. The name sounds kind of funny but they are in fact one of my best investments in the SRT6. They are very stick and had zero issues. In fact, they are excellent reviews from people using them on high end sport cars. The best of thel is that they are cheap compared to other sport performance tires.

Additionally, the car is lowered 1.5" with Vogland Springs and Bilstein shocks in all four corners. Be aware that upon install, I got an awful negative camber. I fixed this issue installing F1 Fabrication Adjustable Camber kit in the front. I paid d about $390 on ebay. They are really good and fixed the issue. For the rear end, I fixed the same issue using adjustable camber arms as well. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck on your project!

Anyway, for those interested in the headlights LED strips mod, here we go...

First than all, unfortunately I don't have pics for this mod. Also, keep on mind that this is NOT and easy mod to do! I used a flexible LED tube design strips from ebay for about $20 bucks. They are really cool and using your blinkers they light up just like the Audi's blinkers. Copy and paste description below and search on eBay.

2X60CM Car Flexible Switchback LED Knight Rider Strip Light Headlight Sequential
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...4b9b573984.jpg

If you buy this one you won't had to cut it in the case you do the same layout pattern I did on mine. Also, if you get any other brand, just make sure you buy a good quality LED light because it would be installed inside your headlight unit. The LED is held in place using fast drying clear epoxy glue.

The reason this mod is not an easy task is because MB used a really tough glue to seal the clear lense to the headlight unit. I tried to heat up the headlight inside the oven at 250 degrees for about 15 minutes but it didn't worked at all. So, I had no other choice than to carefully cut the clear lense with a Dremmel in order to install the flexible LED strips. Another issue was making the headlight waterproofed. I used Flex Glue on spray and let it dry for 24hrs. For additional water protection, I also used Flex Tape around the headlight.

The electrical connection was made using a wireless control switch. Installation is fairly simple. Again, not an easy mod unless you be able to separate the clear lense from the headlight unit itself but really worth it!

Damn that’s clean!!! Well done. How do you like the Supra? I’m still up in the air on the body style but I’ll reserve judgement until I see one up close. I know that BMW power plant is supposed to be pretty legit. I’ve also heard the advertised HP is quoted way under compared to what it really is. Where have I seen that before 🤔 uh hum Mercedes 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Re: My SRT6 dressed up on Tuxedo

That's right, the GR Supra is bit underrated by Toyota. They claimed that it has 335hp & 365 lbs of torque. However, several dyno runs on a stock unit have shown that it actually 339 & 427 lbs of torque which clearly explains why the Supra has a freaking fast acceleration. Look at the link below...

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...no-horsepower/

Again, I hope the brief write up may help you to mod your car! Thanks!

Would you happen to have eBay links for the two front splitter sets you bought, and a link for the side splitters? I love the way yours looks and wanted to stick with the same ones if possible since you've already been there/done that. Thanks!
