I'm looking at a 2005 srt crossfire and it has a hurst srt emblem on the glove-box door. Does anyone know if that was a special package from the factory or was just added by the owner?

 

IF it came from a dealership, I would be surprised. I can not think of this as a dealer-installed setup and as far as I have seen and heard here, no one else has. Might be someone added this, OR, just a fake... Put it on a lift and have it checked out by the mechanic your taking it to for your top-to-bottom inspection before purchase!

Just added by the owner would be a safe bet. Hurst has been associated with American cars. History lesson:

What color is the car and is it a coupe or roadster?

 

Taking it off would add a few bucks to the selling price. Does the car have a sticker saying ‘I visited Disney World’ or something similar on the rear bumper? It probably hides a scrape.
The one on the glove box probably hides a scrape on the glove box door, but maybe there will be a scrape on the glove box door if you try to take it off.
