Hi everyone!

Does someone have measurements of the SRT badge by any chance? I know the 2005 models had the emblem on the trunk lid whereas the few 2006 models had them on the fender. Was there a difference in size at all?

Would appreciate if someone could measure theirs. Tried searching for the measurements but wasn't successful.

Very interesting. Seems like the 2006 was quite larger. I like the design of 06 better. Do we have any idea what the original measurements of that one were?

 

The 2006 SRT6 emblem has a measurement of 5 7/8" inches long and 7/8"s high, typical of the other SRT emblems for the Chargers, Challengers, Chrysler 300's and the RAMs 8 & 10.
They all have the same font (lettering) and red area for the engine designation.
I have the 2006 emblems on my SRT6, for the past 15 years....

Dennis, can you take a picture of your Crossfire with the badge on?
Basically what I'm currently debating is whether I should get the original 2005 badge on the trunk or whether I should even put a 2006 badge on the trunk because I tend to like 06 better. Or maybe even go the route and put either emblems on the fender like they did in 2006. I currently have little Karmann emblems on the fender and would remove those in place for SRT if I went that route but I always felt like something is missing in that fender area so that's why I went with the Karmann logo.

 

Here's an older picture of the 2006 emblems located at the correct position found on a 2006 SRT6 model. In addition to the front fenders, I added another 2006 emblem replacing the original 2005 emblem on the trunk lid under the Crossfire script.

Ahh didn't know the trunk emblem was on the 06 models too. Is that the same size as the 05 one then or did they put the larger SRT6 badge on the trunk in 06?

 

The 2006 style badges were only on the side fenders. I think he meant he added the 06 badge on the back as well.? There’s also a couple of 06’ SRT6’s in the US that still had the 05’ badging.
I could be wrong but I think the only 2006 Graphite SRT6 in the US has the 05’ emblems.

You are correct on both counts, reading my response correctly. Those 2006 SRT6's imported to the USA had the 2005 exterior badging for whatever reason by the Karmann factory. That had been noted on some old threads back in 2006-2008, when the rare 2006 SRT6's were detected. Originally, at that time, it was thought only 10 were manufactured, but now we know there were 296 manufactured by Karmann. Less than 10 made it to the USA.
ALL other 2006 SRT6 shipped outside of the USA had the 2006 style badges above the front fender strakes, with NONE on the rear truck lid.

Are your headrests and tachometer updated with the 06’ font or are they also the 05’ style?

I just liked the 2006 emblems much better than the original 2005 emblems. I did not make any other changes to the seats or dash cluster to match the 2006 script/emblems. It would have been very expensive to do those mods.

Exactly my thinking! I like the 2006 emblem much better than 2005! Therefore I'm trying to either replace my trunk emblem with the updated one or put them on the fender. I guess my only concern would be that the 2006 emblem is too large for the trunk but it might still look good as the 2005 one is relatively small..

 

Oh I was just asking if 06’s here in the states also have the 05’ interior emblems? I wouldn’t imagine anyone wanting to mess around with changing out our tachs. I just didn’t know if the interiors were 05’ style as well or not. I’ve seen an 06’ with 05 deck badge but had 06’ headrests so that’s where my confusion came. I mean I’m still on the lookout for one of those Alabaster SRT6’s lol. I’m confident there’s a couple more anomalies out there we’ve yet to see🤯

i took a picture of my 2006 SRT6 emblem that I have on the trunk lid. As you can see, it's much larger than the original 2005 SRT6 emblem. I centered it between the "I" and the "E".

Wow Dennis that looks awesome! Where did you buy the emblems? I ordered two online. Hope they come out in good quality from a website called Natalex! Wasn't expensive so even if it's not that great, didn't waste too much money lol

I bought the 2006 SRT6 emblems from my selling Chrysler dealer for $43 each in late 2006. They are identical to all other SRT emblems in font size, color and in chromed metal. There was a vendor on EBAY in 2007 that was selling the same emblem for $165 each. Recently I've seen copies in a plastic for the 2006 SRT6 emblem, don't know how they will survive all weather conditions, as well as exterior washing.

I figured it would be extremely challenging to find originals at this point. I went with the company I posted before because the price is inexpensive and it doesn't hurt to give it a shot. Heard from a couple of people on the forum who purchased those badges and they were very happy with it.
Also had another kind forum member reach out and offer the plastic emblems to me. They look great on the pictures but I was concerned with the fact that they are plastic and plastic doesn't exactly hold up great in Florida. They did look of high quality though and one could probably not tell them apart from the original chrome/metal emblems by just looking at them.
We will see how it plays out but I figured it's mostly Chinese knock-offs at this point. Given how rare the 2006 models were, I didn't expect there to bee a lot of OEM circulating anymore.
