Default Product Warning/suggestion...

I just want to advise people that Stoner's Tarminator can stain the factory grill. I immediately contacted them about this. They were very fast, professional, and quick to help me out. They went so far as to order a used Crossfire grille and tested it to see if they could replicate my results of getting a stained grille. They stained the grille too. They told me that Tarminator was what caused the stain. Basically, after talking to them, they supported my decision to allow me to mention this to the general public of Crossfire owners so this incident does not happen in the future. I honestly think the product works great on clearcoat surfaces on removing bugs and tar quickly and easily. I will continue to use the product. But, please just don't let the stuff touch your plastic grilles. IF it does happen, this could be the result:

It's weird because I was the first person to have called about Tarminator causing problems in it's new formula version, and they sell 2 million cans of it each year! Talk about being the guinea pig!!

Question Re: PRODUCT WARNING/SUGGESTION...mods, please sticky this???

So are they hooking you up a new grill? If so, maybe you should have it painted body color and add those chrome strips to it, that's a bad *** look IMO.

Aero Blue, yes, they are. They said I can pretty much get any grille as long as it is within reason of the price of the factory grille, which costs $364.30 with tax and labor. I'm keeping a close eye on the CTD-Germany grille I must say!

I'll buy your stock grill. Will it fit an SRT coupe? Apparently our horns don't work unless the key is in the ignition. If the horn did work, I wouldn't have watched my mother-in-law back into me & crack my grill.

Thanks for the offer GoodEnough, but for now the grille will stay on b/c I got it to look almost undamaged with some sort of paint thinner some guy gave to me in a bottle without a name. Either way, I would keep the factory grille to turn in after the lease. The custom grille is not on yet b/c nobody has helped me produce it yet. It is such a shame.

Very impressive that Stoner's would stand behind their product like that. I wish more companies had this level of customer service as it is definitely a dying art.

Several weeks ago someone knocked off and re-installed a Yankee Candle Vent freshner while in the shop. It was re-installed upside down and leaked onto the headlight switch panel and needless to say it reacted like paint remover. I contacted Yankee Candle and they informed me that it was not their problem and to contact my insurance company. SO BE WARN ABOUT CERTAIN PRODUCTS AND WHERE THEY ARE INSTALLED OR USED.

Given the winking smiley face after the post, I assume it WAS sarcasm. Either way, I agree that Stoner's makes very good stuff. And I say that as a Meguiar's employee.

I've been using the Stoners for years until I tried the Mequiars (came as part of an NXT kit) and I think it works better so that'll be another Meguiars product that has replaced something on the shelf

You can get the horn to work with no key it's called the Me so Horny mod! My horn works without the key now. Great.
