Mike-in-Orange-in-Vegas
Just got back yesterday from the Barrett Jackson in Vegas where I ran into Mike-in-Orange at the McGuires trailer.
I was with my best friend "Tony", and Mike gave us some really good info on how Tony could detail his beautiful powder blue 1970 Mach 1.
Mike was talking with Mr. Barry McGuire (of "Car Crazy" fame) when I interupted them, and I think I unintentionally "dissed" Mr. McGuire when Mike introduced me to him, and all I said was, "Hi how-u-doin?" and then turned and started talking to Mike.
So don't be looking for any of "my cars" ever being featured on Car Crazy any time soon.
It was cool meeting Mike though, and I'm anxious to see how Tony's Mustang turns out. Thanks Mike for all the advice.
I'm still trying to get Tony into a Crossfire, but I'm afraid it just isn't going to happen. Now he's talking about getting his 1975, 280Z (that he purchased brand new) restored, and buying his wife a 4dr. Jag. So I don't see him joining our ranks in the near future, if ever.

You think you were embarrassed when you interrupted Barry, how's this:
I wasn't in Vegas for Barrett-Jackson. You must have been talking to Mike Kennedy, head of our Special Events Department.
I will be in Vegas for SEMA but only for the first two days of the show. I'll be at our booth inside the convention center, not out at the big rig. Of course, I'll also be helping our team prep all the Ford vehicles on Sunday night and all day Monday, but the show isn't open then.

The first guy I spoke to (can't remember his name) told me he was the guy I was looking for when I asked him if Mike from Orange county with the Crossfire was there?
I didn't know your last name so that was the big problem.
Kennedy got all excited when my friend told him about his Mustang, and the whole conversation started from there.
I can't make it to the Sema show, but maybe I'll run across ya at some future event.
Be sure to tell Kennedy about the mix up. He'll probably say, "So that's why he asked me what color my Crossfire was".
Tighd1, if you only knew how much me and Homer have in common.
Mike and I had a little chuckle over this today. He said it took him a day or two to figure out why you were asking him about his Crossfire.
It's all good, I'm just a bit jealous that I didn't have the opportunity to attend that event.
